If you look over the thread I think we all ended up uttering curses upon KyoAni/those responsible..

I think it was a good idea, but they should have done maybe 3-4 episodes max. First one normal, second where he learn that he is stuck in a infinite loop, third trying to figure out how to stop it, and then last one when they get out of it.

It was just ridiculous though, how they made it so long :lol

Yeah, I agree, having 3 or 4 episodes (what I expected when it started) would have been the opposite of the terror that it was.

Another cut from the manga for Brotherhood. No Envy showing up disguised as Breda, which I thought was a nice surprise in the manga. Not to mention the hints relating to Dr. Marcoh's past, though I guess that could still be moved.

Nothing compared to fight that was completely erased earlier though. At least we'll get the followup soon.

Bakemonogatari episode was awesome. Ooshino showing why he's such an awesome character once again. I was about to rage at the lack of senjou during the episode but her during the last few minutes made up for it :D

If 8's not out today, it'll be because of sign work on c-part.
Seriously contemplating just roughing them and fixing for DVD.

I lied. Kind of. The encode has come out as a five megabyte 15-minute still shot of Nami's face three times now, and no one really has a clue why. Tomorrow looks very good, though.

Oh, man. I know I'm way behind, but I just started watching Bakemonogatari and I'm absolutely loving it. Does it have the same director(s) as SZS and Maria Holic, by the way? It sure seemed like it.

Yup.

Word on the street is that if Bakemono is successful, they'll do a prequel based on when araragi was a vampire and they'll show the araragi-Shinobu fight

Enjoyed Sora no Manimani 8 (i think?) a lot. In particular, the astronomy club president (the new one...forgot her name) was voiced really nicely by Sawashiro. In terms of emoting and what not, probably one of her better performances lately...and also with a type of role she doesn't really get casted in often.

Might be a while? The Nisioisin anime project's next series is already planned for Jan so guessing another year atleast...probably won't watch it if they decide to keep Shinobu's VA the same as the drama CD.

This is completely unrelated, but it strikes me that I only ever talk with you about SHAFT shows, so every time I see your avatar here, rather than "oh cute kitten" it's "I can aaaaaaaalmost read the background text, wonder if it'll be on Kumetan or I'll have to resort to 2ch archives". :lol :lol :lol

So for those watching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0....

HOLY SHIT. I ONLY JUST NOTICED IT. O_O

MEGA SPOILERS FOR NEXT EP OMG:
Yuuki's dead?! Mari hasn't interacted with him for the last 2 episodes. He's never carried his frog bag since he fell. There's always only 2 sleeping bags. Watch the latest episode as if he were not there. It's obvious, I can't believe it took me this long to realize that.

If true there's no way there won't be tears next episode.

Heh. Maybe it'll be on nyontaka? We could talk about how wonderful GA is. ;p

btw the avatar pic came from Irem Zoo/April Fool 2008. I thought it was wonderful, although the cat on the right had to be cut.

MEGA SPOILERS FOR FINAL OMG:
This was all in her imagination brought about by her school assignment, on how she sees herself in 10 years. At the end, she'll decide her life is worth living and try to rectify things with her family.

I don't think the show has the balls to kill the brother.

Bakemonogatari 9

Did...did they just pay omage to the IGN cheering pic? :lol
Its a popular meme in japan. So its surprising.

Edit: Well its actually a meme in japan, didn't really catch on here did it.

I would have made my own topic but I cant.

Anyway I have never got into anime much, I need recomendations on anime TV series (not movies). It doesnt have to be new, I would also prefer if the series is finished.

I have watched Berserk and loved it

I would like something with an interesting story, and interesting characters.

That, and the fact that Mari goes all sad/wtf when Yuuki says we, or when she mentions that her brother will need a check up later. Also when the camera is showing the point of view of another character than Yuuki, you never see him.

It's like Calvin & Hobbes all over again wtf. Also I just noticed the paperwork Mari receives while in the hospital looks very similar to the one Mirai sees in her "dream".

Just watched clips of this on YouTube, this looks like exactly what I wanted cheers:D

It's the closest thing to there being a Ninja Scroll TV series. Yeah I know there was a Ninja Scroll TV series but it sucked. Since you liked Berserk I would recommend Claymore very similar to it though the last few episodes messes things up but still worth watching.

Araragi is a total badass. A girl rips out his intestines and smashes him into the wall with it, and soon after, he's holding arms with her. :lol

Orin GA said:
In context, that's screencap is so much more amazing.

What's really hilarious is how well Kanbaru's expression fits her character.

(Araragi is such a pimp.)

Between this and the IGN cheering spoof, Shaft wins visual gags forever.

In Ep 9
it's basically confirmed that Yuuki is indeed dead, given that we see Mari holding the backpack AFTER he has left the hospital with it.

I was kind of disappointed with the latest TM8. I mean
Two sets of people with the exact same hair and age range? Come on, that's just cheap.

Holy shit at those spoilers though. I failed to notice almost all of that :lol
