That's going a bit far don't you think? She's acting more out of ignorance to what others are thinking than any true cruelty. We see that after this arc, she changes pretty drastically. This was the turning point which lead to "Live a Live".

Aoi Hana ended with a decent enough ending, given that the current manga arc hasn't finished.

Yeah, i liked the ending in the anime, it was pretty sweet. My favorite summer anime, along with Taishou Yakyuu Musume.

somehow I managed to finish Juuden-chan...i think i might order the manga for it...

gratuitous nudity
gratuitous urination

what's not to like?

Haruhi is just annoying. Nothing redeeming about her attitude. I have started to dislike her after this arc.
I'm don't get how anyone liked her in the first place. She was always a bitch. If a person like her existed in real life she'd only have asshole friends and even they'd secretly hate her.

Thats why we like Haruhi!

Hah, yeah. The school girl animes have been alright this season.

Still, and maybe it's simply because there isn't a market for this type of show, but I'd kind of appreciate a non-sports school anime based around a group of dudes (that didn't devolve into yaoi). That's asking too much, probably. :lol

Hah, forgot it was ending this week. I don't know what to think about it... like Princess Lover, it's self-aware so it can make fun of it self, but it's still a harem show with girls pissing themselves at the thought of being beaten by a man.

I agree a male bonding anime would be nice...without the yaoi of course.

Unheard of!

Genshiken has a lot of male bonding and no yaoi (except in that one chapter, but it was totally a parody).

Pretty sure that is the reason people liked her in the first place.:lol

Oh yeah, totally forgot about that since it was set in college. I wish they'd finish that up.

It still seems to be a rarity though. The most recent thing I can think of is Hatsukoi Limited and even that's a bit of a stretch.

Tears to Tiara? It's not as harem as most would think...actually...it almost feels like the female characters are more or less forgotten by the time you get to the halfway point except Riannon.

Aoi Hana ending was kind of... nice for the anime, altho it disappointed me. So many cuts in the last episodes, especially this ending one, compared to the manga. They didn't even use 3 full volumes for 11 episodes, and so much stuff got cut. The best scene was completely replaced and it felt kind of a let down to me.
It was still a nice watch and all, but felt really weak when keeping the manga in mind.
I'm hoping they'll have a second season tho once more stuff is available.

Kyon should have punched the bitch.

that is all
Late here but yeah I was pissed that Itsuki stopped him.

The finale ends not with a bang but a whimper.

I note that this second season hasn't done much for Haruhi's online popularity. In fact, I've never seen such rabid enthusiasm die so thoroughly.

Bakemono 10: Suruga's OP is the most well animated although Staple Stable remains my favorite song. Also, this episode, and the last few minutes of the previous, must be illegal on some levels to watch in the US.

Next week, TSUBASA CAT.

(Lack of Senjougahara is TROUBLING)

I guess, I do like the Haruhi as a character. But the main character and driving force in the story is Kyon. Was it in this thread where he was described as an Arthur Dent-type. Haruhi is the Ford Prefect to Kyon's Arthur Dent.

Guys, 2 quick questions, I'm guessing the Tower of Druaga series are finished? Really liked it, the second "season" even more.
And, I loved all of the anime I've watched through so far (Last Exile, Gankutsuou, and Tower of Druaga), so any similar suggestions?

I just marathoned all of TM8.

I wasn't impressed, until the twist in Episode 10, which made me reevaluate the entire series.

Yeah I cried at the end.

Agreed. I have a feeling that it might've worked better as a 2 hour feature film.

The whole narrative hinges on that one gimmick, so it's very much like the Sixth Sense.

Bakemonogatari 10: Very sexy, also glad that we won't be dealing with flashbacks for Tsubasa Cat part 2. Meaning MOAR SENJOUGAHARA.

Can't wait to see Hanekawa's OP.

TM8 was much, much better before they added that completely unrelated gimmick. It was pretty out of place for a show so "supposedly grounded in reality". Way too over-the-top, really.

I finally saw the ending of TM8 too.

I cried tears like waterfalls. Yuuki was too CUTE to die! TT_TT Nooooooo!!!

I didn't mind any of the "innaccuracies" in the show, myself. I just let myself get into the story. And it's come out as one of my favourite anime of all time. Although I won't be able to watch it again for a while.

*wipes a few stray tears away*

Princess Princess is worth a watch. Sure, it's from a Yaoi writer, and there *may* be some homoerotic overtones, but aside from a kiss (which was in context to an extent) it is fairly good watching. Explores friendship at an all-male school in an interesting way!

[edit] Whoops. Should have just added this to my other post. Can they be merged?

Bakemonogatari 11 was good as usual. Some parts were pretty stunning, imo, visually speaking--specifically when Araragi is talking to Nadeko, and all the past oddities start meshing into this weird kaleidoscope behind him.

So sad that 12 will be the last tv episode. Hopefully, we'll actually see Senjougahara.

There will be 3 more episodes after 12, I believe, for a total of 15. The last 3 will be included with the DVD release, focused on Koyomi Vampire.

I think it's supposed to "air" on the website as well. Atogatari hasn't been blocked based on IP so I'm hoping they won't IP block ep 13~15 either. Have all the blu-rays preordered :)

Oh, I know. I'm just sad that it'll be a bit of a wait will their release.

Regarding Tokyo Magnitude 8:

I take back what I said, they did have the balls to do it and I think the show was better for it. It would have been better like a movie like someone mentioned earlier however. I'm willing to forgive it because of the relatively short period of time that passes in the show, even though it was a whole 3 months for us, but yes it was kinda an uneventful 3 months for us viewers.

Also, why the fuck did no one tell me that Genshiken season 2 was finally being released on DVD? Disc 1 is already out, disc 2 incoming in October, this is great, hopefully we get the full series on DVD by the beginning of next year.

Just saw the last episode of Princess Lover.
The first few episodes were kinda fun, many other were shitty, but I kept watching to see how it'd end anyways.
Man, what a shitty ending. What kind of moron
tells the man that killed his parents, kidnapped one of his friends twice, tried to kill him "I forgive you" and even tries saving him? What kind of bullshit is that...
