...fuck Endless Eight.

Just fuck it.

haha, I did like the third version the best though it had the best flow overall. Is it a different director for each episode

faux edit:
Ichirou Miyoshi (ep 14)
Mitsuyoshi Yoneda (ep 12)
Tomoe Aratani (ep 13)

I guess it is, fucking kyoani. I hate them.

Seriously are we looking at an eight-parter here?

Speaking of it, Bandai announced their license for it at AX this morning. One-night theatrical release on September 24th through Fathom Events.

Too bad it sucks shit. Worst movie I've seen in years.

I don't know, I only see 3 possible comments, the rest is a bunch of repeating syllables that I refuse to believe actually form any word or sentence.

As for the 3 possible comments, I don't speak Japanese.

I just find the rage universally hilarious.

Holy fuck at Haruhi! The latest episode
was hardly any different than the last episode. In fact, nothing changed. There was no new information or revelations, just the same shit from different angles and slightly different dialogue.

Kyoani is trying to fuck with us! >: (

I'd be ok with it if they were like:

Hey guys, we wanted to have a whole new season ready but all we had were two episodes finished and no time to finish any more. In a fit of despair a staffer reminded me how one of the episodes we finished was of an endless time loop and we came up with the brilliant idea of just making 11 episodes out of it! So rest assured the real Season 2 will come next season, we promise.

It amazes me how off the wall the show is. I mean, you got the talking cat in like the first episode yet he's not in the rest of the season, so we still at least gotta finish the filming of the movie. I know the novels are all over the place too but damn. They're probably going to start the alternate universe and end season 2 with Kyon getting stabbed and make us wait another year or so to see the resolution.

But I'm not as angry as some, I like the novels and think they're better anyways so I'll survive. I guess if I hadn't done the novels first, I'd still be scratching my head over the talking cat from season 1.

Oh and Jesus, did they fuck up Valkyria Chronicles, not like the game had the best story line but God did they butcher what was there.

15 seconds into first Bakemonogatari ep....hm, Shinbo?...*checking ANN*...yes it's Shinbo :lol ...well it's been a while since he directed something more action oriented. Not much action at the start though but it looks pretty good anyway...will follow.
Aoi Hana was nicely done, anime atmosphere reminded me on Koi Kaze, yeah I know main theme is bit different :P
Umineko; thought direction was very shitty, knowing Deen it'll only get worse...

The Japanese prefecture of Saitama established a Prefectural Anime Tourism Investigative Commission on Tuesday to discuss ways to boost anime-based tourism — including "changing the [local] schools' unifoms to match the uniforms of the Lucky Star characters." Takayoshi Yamamura, the Hokkaido University associate professor who wrote a paper about how the prefecture's town of Washimiya became a mecca for Lucky Star anime tourists, chairs the six-member commission. The other commission members include anime production figures and manga creators such as Sakuya Hikochi (Dr. Kuruma's Time Machine, Chichibu Cafe & Art-Culture Guide Book).

I'd move my kids away in a heartbeat

And suddenly I've thought of a way to save Detroit.

Seriously though, that better be a joke or some shit. I mean. Please. It's sad on both parts, visiting some place because it was in an anime and whoring out your school children to please those people. It's just. Fuck.

Just finished the first episode of Umineko. Seems kind of interesting but holy shit was that little girl the most annoying thing in the entire world. God damn.

Shinbo and action? Checked out the OP upon hearing this and it looks pretty cool. Very stylish. I'll definitely be checking this series out.

When to the filler naruto episodes start and end? And are they worth watching?

From about episode 95 - 114. (Episode 112 is probably worth watching just for Tobi and Deidara).

Fuck no.

If you think she was annoying then shes being portrayed perfectly. :D

The new Shinbo show has the character designer from the Soul Taker, the shots ive seen from it are really soultaker-ish too. I might actually check it out, even though im sure it will turn to absolute shit just like every other Shinbo show of the past several years

Goddamnit, I automatically assume you mean Shippuuden, i've got to stop this habbit. :|

The original naruto fillers start at about episode 130 till the Shippuuden series starts, they're good fun to watch even though at the end of it all nothing actually happens in terms of progressing the story along, savour these fillers though because Shippuuden rips out 99.99% of the humour. :|

Canaan's *really* well directed, just as I expected from Ando. His concept of action and movement is really first class. While the animation is definitely not as awesome as Sword of the Stranger (duh, it's a TV series), the directing is top notch. I love the way he handles the camera work and scene transitions, especially in action scenes. The way the movement of characters and the direction of the viewer is paced and moved through the action scenes is really dynamic and works amazingly well. The editing is tight, and it never feels boring.

Just wanna repeat how terrible the Eureka Seven movie was. Jesus fuck, it was like watching an Otaku fanfic adaptation (especially the ending, sjeez). It really ticked me off. How could they fuck up so badly... probably because Dai Sato didn't write the story, nor was there an actual writer on the production.

Naruto has a few fillers scattered around here and there, and then a bunch from something like 96-103 or something like that (give or take in either direction).

The major batch of fillers starts with 136, I believe, and lasts the entire rest of the way. And they are unbelievably shockingly horrific. Mindblastingly so. They start off kind of not super terrible but just dumb and somehow get worse and worse along the way. There's absolutely nothing redeeming about them whatsoever, aside from one little bit of character development for Hinata in the third little arc. If you're going to insist on watching any of them, just go that far (about 15 episodes in). You'll already have had to deal with the Tony the Tiger villain at that point, but at least you'll be spared the Curry of Life.

This season looks absolutely horrible. Considering I go in and out of watching anime, the last shows I've seen were parts of Claymore and Soul Eater. What series would you guys recommend from the last few seasons or so? I'm into pretty much anything outside of comedies.

Natsu No Arashi!
Natsumi Yuujinchou
Zoku Natsumi Yuujinchou
Kurenai
Spice and Wolf
Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto Natsu no Sora
Eden of the East
Toshokan Sensou
Toaru Majutsu no Index
Allison to Lillia

Hard to say any more since you don't want comedies.

Index was horrible.

I guess the next episode of Haruhi won't resolve things. It'll be the 15.000th repetition, that would be too obvious. ^_^

I'm looking forward to Kuruneko, a story about a substance abusing lady and her cats, somehow the plot speaks to me.....

nice... gonna check it out now.

This makes 2 straight seasons with absolutely nothing watchable imo.

Oh how great it was when I had Kaiba, Michiko, Ga-Rei-Zero and Kurozuka all bringing the goods. That'll be the season I remember. Especially since I had just finished Gurren Lagann not too long before.

Wow, just spent 30 seconds watching the fansub of Element Hunters from Fabulous and every single translated line is wrong. Fake release?

I wouldn't be surprised if it were fake. It came out an hour or 2 after the raw. :lol

Is Endless Eight the most blatent filler ever or what? :lol *cries*

At least we know why they're showing Haruhi in chronilogical order now... OR ARE THEY!?

Thanks for the post, now that Hajime No Ippo: NC is done I'm sad but I'll check out
Needless
Bakemonogatari
Canaan
GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class
Spice and Wolf II
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Shall check out Aoi Hana on your recommendations though.
Show isn't about that you know... , sorry to disappoint.

Yeah, read that the only subbing they did was using someone else's translations.

Just watched Needless and the ED is so out of place… I mean they have the jumping boobies and all, but the ED is just ridiculous. Story seems dull and I didn't like the characters… Well, I wasn't thinking about watching it anyway, just that the ED got me wondering how the actual show was.

Did you not watch Eden? Eden was awesome. I mean, it's nothing like the other four shows you mention below, but I actually watched the whole series on a weekly basis. I haven't done that for an anime since... well, since Kaiba.

I've watched a couple of shows so far. I could do without some of the more annoying things in Umineko ("can I grab your tits?" and "uuuu, uuuuu" being the main ones, I was rooting for Rosa to slap Maria...) and Sea Story is unsurprisingly well made despite the character designs. Bring on Tokyo Magnitude 8!

Yes, I gathered as much from reading the posts.
But seeing that ED every week doesn't remotely interest me.

Quite enjoyed Aoi Hana but taking a wait and see approach as to how the character develop..

Endlessrolled?

At least we'll still have Zetsubo Sensei (unless they decide to parody Endless Eight, which would make this season both the greatest and worst season I've ever had.)
