Pretty much every female introduced so far with the exception of the friend and the owner perhaps has been shown as a possible love interest at least once.
The only girl with clearly love interst was Chiho and he busted it. Emi is a obvious future love interest but more because of old anime rules than real hints in the story.

Chiho maintains an interest in him despite that, then Emi has been heavily implied as a possible route on the anime besides anime-isms. Suzune hasn't had anything obvious but based, especially on the last episode has grown close to Maou.
Eden of the East 08 - Searching for the Path Already Lost
Review:
Uneventful episode that sets Osugi up to be the major thorn in the group's side but otherwise doesn't tell us much about anyone or introduce any other SELACAO.
Yaaaaaaaaay people talking about Jojo Part 4 with the appropriate level of reverence. Best Jojo Part ever.
Stardust Crusaders really does drag on a bit. I still love the Part for a number of things, not least introducing the whole Stand concept, but it does have a tendency to feel like fight...after fight...after fight...after fight. It doesn't help that they signalled from the beginning that they were going to work their way through the entire Major Arcana, and then even had the gall to throw in a few extra, non-tarot Stands at the end!
I do think most of the fights themselves are pretty good, but they pale in comparison to how creative Araki got with Stand abilities in later parts. The protagonists' Stands in particular are pretty damn uncreative in Part 3.
Magician's Red is just fire summoning, and Silver Chariot is just swordfighting. Star Platinum itself is actually pretty simple too (it's just really strong, fast and precise) but its abilities are used really nicely, and the simplicity gives it a lot of charm. And then of course it does that in the final battle.
I basically agree with all of this. I think Part 4 has a lot of things going for it, and generally having more of a sense of "fun" is definitely one of them. It's great how they weave the standard Jojo crazy battles and stuff into a more laid-back, almost slice-of-life type atmosphere.
Another thing I like about Part 4 is that it's possibly the only Part in which the Stand users don't all fall into clear "hero" and "villain" roles. In Part 3, once the protagonist group is established, basically every other Stand user can be summed up as
"loyal servant of Dio"
. There's no ambiguity whatsoever. Similarly, in Part 5 the Stand users are pretty clearly divided into
"Bruno's Mafia group = the good guys" and "other Mafia who are trying to kill them"
, and in Part 6 you can divide them all into
"Jolyne's little gang" and "Whitesnake's minions"
. I guess Part 7 is a little less clear-cut, but pretty much everyone is an enemy to some extent since they're all competing in the same big race. (Also Part 7 is my least favourite part for other reasons.)
But in Part 4, you have people all over town becoming Stand users almost at random, and there's no real clear "hero" or "villain" distinction. You have a small core protagonist group, and everyone else is basically out for their own interests. Some form mini-alliances against the protagonist group or become antagonists for their own selfish reasons, some are completely neutral, some go back and forth between being helpful and harmful. Barely anyone actually allies themselves with the final Big Bad. It's just a much more unpredictable and unique setup than any of the other Parts have presented, and really does wonders for the overall characterisation.
Also in Part 4's favour is that it strikes the best balance of any Part in terms of Stand abilities. They're generally more unique and interesting than the Stands in Part 3, but also stay more down-to-earth than the convoluted and borderline-incomprehensible abilities that Parts 5 and 6 sometimes tend towards. (The only possible exception I can think of is
Bites the Dust
, which is pretty convoluted, but the arc around it was really nicely done, so I give it a free pass.)
Much as I love Part 4 and think it's miles better than Part 3, I don't think it's reasonable to hope for David Production to get to Part 4 in the show's next season. Stardust Crusaders needs at least two cours to be done properly, and I wouldn't want them to give it a substandard adaptation. I just hope that their Part 3 adaptation gets announced sooner rather than later, and that the wait between it and Part 4 isn't too long.
I guess the second stand arc in Diamond is Unbreakable was kinda weird to me, because you have this stand user making super delicious food that does actually heal you significantly, but it's looks completely dangerous at the same time because it looks like they're being killed at the same time.
Also enjoyed Echo's first fight. In regards to part 3, it would pretty much need 2 cours, and would have to condense fights as much as possible into one fight, potentially even omitting some since they're just joke battles, but at the same time, it kinda needs a joke-y atmosphere since it's serious more often than not.
Young Joseph is better than Old Joseph, especially since Young Joseph is more prominent with his actions. I have learned greater appreciation of Old Joseph, despite the sheer amount of fanwinking he gets.
One more love for Doremi-chan, but he was really interested in
Ai-chan
, and in the end everyone got dumped.
Poor Tamaki Reika, she can't use the rich ojou-sama shtick because Hazuki is a richier ojou-sama, ohohohoho~.
Did something happen to Pop VA? she sounds different in these last couple of episodes.

That mini-arc always stands out for me when I remember Part 4 because it seems to embody all the things I love about that Part.
You have the whole build-up making it look like there's something wrong with the place, the reveal that yes, the guy is a Stand user whose food has horrifying effects on people...and yet in the end it turns out that he's a nice guy and all the "horrifying" effects are just as positive as he says they are. You would never see a story like that in any of the other Parts. It's entirely a product of Part 4's more lighthearted mood and focus on individual characters with Stands rather than some giant group of villains.

I suppose that I should also say something about Gammon; he's a tsundere delinquent with some impressive crazy faces and Kaito's insta-rival. He clearly has some kind of pivotal role in this ongoing series of events, but for now the only question I'm asking myself about him is whether or not he's the seme or the uke.

She doesn't need it. None of the Black Rose duelists have been a real threat to Utena, and that's for a reason.
Symbolical answer:
Touga forcing Anthy into "kissing" the sword was entirely a message about him being the dominant entity in their relationship. Utena tries not to force Anthy into submission, remember? Being the prince and all that. Also, fellatio.
Utena mentions this in the Student Council Arc off-hand so you might have missed it, but she doesn't really remember what her prince looks like. The "tale of the prince" at the beginning of each episode is more about letting the audience in. Actually, the reason the faces are blacked out is because the identities of the individuals in it are supposed to be a secret.
Summer festival, there's a pickpocket around and he gets Doremi tap,
or not...a dog gets Doremi tap and transform in a dog witch, so Hazuki change Doremi in a dog to give chase, afterwards in horse Doremi, but all ends well.
To finish the summer, nothing like ghost storys and a test of courage. Ganbatte Hazuki-chan!
Majo Rika, Majo Rika, Majo Rika, Majo Rika, Majo Rika, Majo Rika, Majo Rika, Majo Rika!
This Yamauchi kid is an arse, who would hate his grandfather, because
it has been a little quiet from them, although they recently animated the OP for the latest Ace Attorney game.
I believe the only things we know they're working on are:
i) A US/Japanese co-production toy show called "Tenkai Knights" which will probably be a bit like Heroman
ii) A show widely rumoured to be a comedy set in space and directed by Shinichirou Watanabe, further rumoured to be called "Space Dandy" based on a trademark filing. There's a possibility that this will be formally announced next week, as we're speculating it could be one of the Fall noitaminA shows and it's definitely due to air around then.
I think that's everything at the moment - it's not been that long since Tempest and
Detective Conan 229:
Ran and Sonoko are sure eating a lot of chips for one afternoon. The epilogue scene with Conan seeing the bottom of the cup was a sweet moment, and anything involving Makoto misunderstanding Sonoko's intentions is funny. The actual case wasn't especially exciting, but the method of hiding the body was pretty inventive. Now it's finally time for me to get to Episode 230, which I've been awaiting for some time.
Did you write those recaps after each individual episode or as a post series look back on things? I just can't imagine the rate that those were written could've been spammy unless written in a batch but they seem to be genuine moment to moment thoughts on things with the given information at the time which would be really hard to write after the fact. Do those posts just come out really easily and quickly for you?
Yeah, all the Chu-2 doujins were pretty lame. I'd like to think Tamako Market would fair better, but considering the show flopped, I don't hold much hope for too many of them...

Yea I'm aware of what they're currently preparing but I just find it a little strange that they've slowed production down a little bit. Or am I just greedy?
They're also working on a new version of a familiar title. That's all thats known about that project.

I typed the direct recaps as I watched with limited reactions and when I finished an episode went back and added in my reactions and stuff. I did the screen caps afterwards in a second run through. But generally I'm a very very quick typist (and essay writer and...) and I wouldn't say doing the recaps/reviews/screen captures added more than 10 minutes or so to a 20 minute episode.

Well, this Mr. Takehana man apparently does even despise any kind of pornography, but I was wondering if with this little time in advance they maybe wouldn't bother the event organizers that much with a cancellation now... right? Right?
