So the 3 generals decide to tag-team it up this time. You know, if they just went all out from the get go, they wouldn't have to be doing this. Sasorina got pretty hard though.

And I could've sworn Itsuki being female was supposed to be a secret. When did everyone else find out? Did I miss something?

OP changed just enough to give Precure Sunshine 5 seconds in it. The ED is completely new though. Unlike the last that was Pop, this one is more Gospel-like. It has Precure Moonlight with them too. I wonder when she'll join... Probably not for a while.

Nozaki-kun 8

The episode of backgrounds and misunderstandings between the prince and Hori-senpai. Pretty fucking hilarious if I do say so myself, everybody hit the right notes. I know many here aren't fans of Nozaki, but he really hits the spot for me for the deadpan humor which is usually necessary in anime comedies and he does it spectacularly. Sakura didn't have much in this episode besides typical infatuation with Nozaki and reactions, which is her best scenes anyways as her reactions are golden. The stars this episode are Hori and the Prince, though Mikorin had a great scene of being embarassed by being out-suave'd by her.

And of course this was the episode of

and

As always Nozaki-kun you are one of the three highlights this season. Alongside Space Dandy and Barakamon of course.

Boxes everywhere.

I'm kind of surprised that I'm continuing to watch this show despite having read the manga, as I normally drop pretty much anything I've already read the source material for. I wouldn't say this adaption is really improving on anything in particular, it's just been really solid. I think it's a pretty good indicator of the strength of the characters as well, because more than wanting to see the individual gags animated, I'm more interested in seeing the characters come to life and how their quirks are animated.

So i've narrowed down the list of shows I want to watch after my operation. Along with Wolf's Rain, here's what I got.

Steins;Gate (Is this on Netflix?)
Fate Zero
Baccano
Spice and Wolf (On episode 6 before I stopped watching)
PsychoPass (Should I watch the show or the recut if I do decide to watch it?)
Noragami
Shinsekai Yori

Of those shows I want to narrow it down to 2 or 3 (Not including Wolf's Rain because I will be watching that regardless). If anyone can tell me their top 3 of the above shows I would appreciate it.

I haven´t watch the rest (Fate Zero is bought but on hold until I finish Fate Stay Night VN) but Steins;Gate is excellent. I watched it straight after completing the VN and loved it (and it´s weird I did that because normally when I know how the story is I lose the interest in rewatching it in other medium, but I never got tired of it). It´s a beautiful thing.

Best of luck with your operation, hope everything is fine.

Steins Gate is one of the best shows in recent years.

Listen to this man. Steins;Gate is not only a fantastic time travel-topic anime, it's also a fantastic science fiction story period. I think there's only one more time travel show/movie that puts as much thought into it that I liked and that's Primer. Highly recommended, though the beginning half is pretty slow but it's deliberately so as it wants you to get to know the characters before shit begins. And when shit begins it's a ride of most epic proportions. One of my favorite anime.

I think people just like to point it out because they found it funny, not because it was going to be an actual indicator of the quality of the show. It looks like he only did the script of Pico anyway, so looking at his previous works in series composition would have been much more telling.

Yeah. I mean, Urubuchi worked on Saya no Uta and Shinbo did porn, and yet people don't question whatever they can direct or write (and when they do, it's not because they did porn).

Sasorina just needed some time to recover. Alright, I'll buy that. Now, what I don't buy is the fact that
Tsubomi's grandfather looks like he never aged despite being pronounced dead. Surely he can't be coning down from Heaven for 2 seconds to save his granddaughter and bounce time and again.
There's also the fact that
Tsubomi's grandmother blew off his appearance a few episodes ago. Maybe she actually didn't him and said he was a friend anyway? Regardless, that still doesn't look good.

Bakemonogatari Episode 6

New girl seems fine (Suruga), at least in a first glance. Though I wonder what connection
that monster in the end
has with her. Besides that, I don't have much to talk about this episode, except maybe Senjougahara going dere after hearing Suruga's name.

"If you don't do your homework your going to turn into a Desertrain." And then the boy turned into a Desertrain. I'm sure there is a lesson to be learned here.

Eh, there is some truth to this but Boku no Pico is kind of infamous and a special case.

This weeks show hands down unfairly was Hanamonogatari. I LOVE MONOGATARI. It was beautiful, entertaining, dramatic, depressing. Everything Monogatari.

AND KAIKI IS BACK.

Realistically, watching all the characters grow
like seeing Araragi back, cooler than ever, almost like an Oshino
and even Kanbaru becoming something like an Araragi in facing her problems. Numachi's twist at the end really did flip things around and made it what Monogatari is known for. I don't know. I could write a whole essay of praise, but I'm just coming off the high and would rather calm down. But what can I say, I really really enjoyed it. The Monogatari series will always be in my top 10, and this chapter continues to demostrate why it remains there.

Nozaki kun 7

Well this wasn't a strong episode for me. Maybe it could partly be because I'm not feeling too hot right now, and partly for reasons addressed earlier on this page.

Bakemonogatari Episodes 7-8

Well, what a bitch. I thought for a moment that
the girl was summoning the demon, but being the demon herself? And wanting to kill her classmates and Araragi?
Sigh, even though I liked the ero parts in episode 7 and found them funny, I couldn't think anything good about her especially
in the fight
on episode 8, where the viewer learns that
she herself isn't happy that the wish will not be fulfilled.
I do though understand the feeling that she had about Araragi, can't be a hypocrite about that.

Also, talking about taking something's time, anime recently has taken so much time of my days that I cannot believe. So many hours that I could've used by playing something, but instead I'm watching anime... I thought I was done with that, but apparently something inside me still likes them. The only thing that I'm able to play right now is Pokemon, farming for a shiny. Anything else I just cannot concentrate enough.

Why did the OP change again to fit Precure Moonlight? She hasn't joined yet. Sure the eyecatcher has been reflecting that for a while now, but that was when Itsuki joined. It just feels off.

I can't help but laugh at the fact that the jajar is just about full considering the buffet of seeds from the last episode.

One of my gripes is how spoilerific the op and ed is. Which was fixed in Suite (and then broken again in HapCha)

Kashima still doesnt get she is the girl and Hori is the dude. Sorry Hori, if you really want to go out with Kashima you will have to be the girl. Even Mikorin gets flustered when Kashima is flirting with him.

And boxes, boxes everywhere.

Sabagebu 8

Somehow, I believe Maya is the Akari (Yuru Yuri) of this show.

foxuzamaki

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
Legend of Korra season 3 episode 7
Really enjoyed this lil episode, I love how Tenzin is still learning things despite his age and I enjoy him trying to train the new airbenders and all the problems that comes from people who werent born as nomads.

Legend of Korra season 3 episode 8
Holy goddamn this is a good episode, full of some good as shit and some amazing animation and action, I really love the uniqueness of the villains and how the rabbithole is deeper tan first realized, zaheer is really interesting as a villain.

You know, the best thing to take away from this season is that its so much better when team avatar isnt trying to fuck eachother.

Oh god...

I'm not sure whether the OG->Sharp reset or this was worse. The first series had a great ending so Sharp began as a completely unwelcome continuation, but Motto!->Dokka~n! is infuriating in the opposite way; nothing 'bad' happened at the end of Motto! and continuity was established, so they had even less reason to pull all that shit, the most shark-jumpy thing out of all being of course
Hana-chan's convoluted addition to the witch cast
. I mean, at the end it doesn't really matter since Doremi season beginnings are all about jumping the shark only to bounce back and become great along the way, but man Toei really can't let me forget for a second that the show's primary objective was to sell characters and toys.

Otherwise, transformation stock is an improvement so far, but I've yet to see the spell-casting ones. I don't really care for Baba, but Hana could be fun. The ED is great, up there with Sharp's ED, although neither of them can even come close to the glory that is Naisho's.

I was about to say that the ED's true purpose will reveal itself, but it gets changed anyway.

That being said, thematically, I thought this season was rather weak in terms of what they'll have to sell off (and it practically shows given how it's treated this season).

Sure it's obvious she was going to join eventually, but at least reflect it until after she joins like Itsuki. There isn't any point changing a few seconds of the OP 3 times with 2 and 3 being 5 or so episodes apart. Sure MekakuCity Actors did it for 4 or so episodes, but that was Shaft improving/adding to the animation in it. This... Could've waited.

So many little details that seem at first irrelevant and insignificant yet have a very pivotal role in the story and leading to certain events. The details are the key.

I like when themes or details get repeated between two very different anime. And today, that's Nozaki, Hanamonogatari and CCS. Basketball as a storytelling element and crossdressing for a play both came up, albeit in very different contexts. It's pretty clear why Touya doesn't have a girlfriend - though it helps that I'm watching along with my friends - and I was surprised that the school festival was at Touya's school and not Sakura's. Maybe that'll come later. Mist seems like Power - not a bad card necessarily, but destructive if in the wrong hands.

Oh man in the later episodes
when they go through all the time travel in the first episodes
I was mindfucked. But not hard. Softly. Steins Gate wanted to screw me gently. Sweetly.

I'm guessing Toshie changed up his artstyle because it really looks like Peace was hit with an aging beam. That being said

Gratuitous Yuuko and Iona handholding aside, I guess now we come to Megs not wanting to deck Mirage now.

e3XtCSx.jpg
yOoYvbt.jpg

Megs realized she already lost. Seiji will move in for the kill

To be fair, in this case, Megs was already aware of Blue being sad when Mirage is mentioned, and we've also seen it being stated as such. That being said, This line makes me think back in the days were Precures were killers. Such a farcry from the old days. Dammit Fortune

In any case
Fortune confirmed for being controlled by evil. Lovely
. We finally get a fight with the three generals themselves.... and it was probably one of the most disappointing fights of this season. It really brought down the episode, and also reminds me of the good old days when generals participated more. Especially in Yes! 5/GoGo's case.

Probably the worst episode in a long time, but PVs show that next week will most likely make up for this week pretty damn hard (SPOILERS)
