A lot of the show is about subversion of mecha tropes so that would actually sort of make sense for them to 'stick the landing'.

Assuming it does happen,

they either need another new ship, or need to conveniently break or work around the 'only royalty can move Aldnoah' rule--which just got harder to hypothetically spoof, considering the ship stopped working the second Seylum went down. They need a compelling impetus for the ship and crew to play a major role in the war with the princess actually dead. They've also discarded any meaningful contrast of Martian v Earth opinion on the ship, since the handmaiden chick only kept her opinion mildly progressive on the outside because of the princess.

The show will have to move in a wildly different direction to resolve this stuff, which I have even less faith in now after hearing the even-heavier-shades-of-Zeon-truth about Vers.

My guess is

rather than getting the princess killed or long-time incapacitated, it is going to be used to introduce some darkness/development to her otherwise naive/pristine character. I see that shower scene being used as Rayet effectively communicating her desperation/trauma to Selyum, who should now have some of her own assuming she survives it.

This also possibly gives meaning to that last scene in the OP.

Looks like Ohkawa wasn't involved in the adaptation of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, except for two OVAs.

A good vs evil Kid Icarus anime, with inverted tropes, would be cool also. And to finish, an over the top action anime with Captain Falcon.

I would say have Koike make an F-Zero anime, but that's basically what Redline is anyway, so there's no need.

Animal Crossing already has an anime movie, actually. Haven't watched it though. I wouldn't mind watching a full Kid Icarus anime, with how amusing Uprising was.
