49 People really did 400$+ on 1anime? Anime fans are more loaded than I ever imagined.
And those 9 people at the $830 tier. wow.
For reference, importing all three Japanese Blu Ray boxes would cost over $800 (which at least one GAF poster has done!). Even pledging at a high tier is a bargain compared to that.

It's pretty much a female Tauburn although Koyama seems to have a thing for horns now if you look at the Captain Earth design too.

Such pencils aren't that common as decorative for a middle school student's room, I used to have one too. They're not very practical though..

Apparently the final movies/season are in licensing hell because of the music, which I have to assume means there are not even plans to do the second season on DVD.

I wouldn't say it's been completely sidelined, but the show is trying to wear a lot of hats.
These are the kind of designs I like with my more crazy mechas, slightly less human in a suit and exaggerated body parts.

I've seen shows that get shit on for half the shit that this abomination does.
I haven't outright despised nearly every character in an anime before.
Hibiki is a shithead. Tsubasa's an unlikable edgelord. Kanade is underdeveloped backstory-fodder. Miku's entire character is worthless yuri-bait, and Chris and Genjuuro can come talk to me when they want to show up in a better show.
Half the action and story this show does has been done better in other shows, mecha and magical girl anime alike.
What gives this show a free pass, oh fans of this insipid piece of trash?!?
Why is this show so beloved when it's THIS much of a fucking mess?!?
Because unless Season 2 borrows the retcon gun from Eureka Seven AO and blasts Season 1 into oblivion, I don't see ANY reason why I should watch it. Maybe if I just want to be annoyed and get angry, because this show sure was good at that!
