Super Best Friends Thread 5: There's a Skeleton Inside Each of Us

Hmm well I ask cause for the longest time I had been planning on a love triangle relationship but recently ive been moving towards the group of friends in my story to have love interests that are supporting characters besides the protagonist and the main female of the story who have a kind of weird kind of employee-boss relationship cause hes her body guard and later after the time skip where he becomes a salary man she becomes his boss. So ive been playing with the idea of the whole group always like to tease them for liking each other even though its a rather small plot point in the over arching story.

Can I just say I'm glad the anime stopped before it got to the shit that is the second half of the manga.

Isn't the second half where it gets really heavy and dark? or trying to force feelings onto you? That's what i've been told? I might have misremembered.

How I feel honestly, it's okay if it's just a vanilla romance between two characters as they grow to like one another in the background of story events happening. They become friends then they become lovers. THEN END IT THERE! Have them in a relationship if you make a next part, but don't try to add a love triangle or any of that shit later.

Oh god this. A romantic relationship that progresses over a series is meant to be a sort of reward in anything not explicitly about said romance. If you fuck with the romance later, you're basically giving the reader/watcher a cake and then taking the cake away. I want my goddamn cake.

There's a timeskip and then Rin decides she wants Daikichi's dick and instead of what any normal person would do he decides they should get married.

Tsukihime easily does this the best. Shiki and Arcueid are a super awesome couple because of this. They start off as strangers, then become friends then they finally end up in a relationship.

But the best part is the romance isn't the main focus and solving the mystery is.

If theres anything I know about cakes, its that they are lies.

I love Portal to death, but that joke is still beaten to hell and back.

Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Short answer: No.

It's like the joke is... Still alive.
I'm not leaving. I'm here to stay forever and make bad jokes.

Edit: dammit.. DP.

I know. Deep down, I always have.

Worst part of that joke is that it's not even true.
Seriously, I'm surprised nobody assumed the party escort submission position and got the cake ending.

At least that had some effort put into it. 10/10.
'Want you gone' is better.
I'll fight you, son. (I think you're just using it as a joke?)

I just realized Twilight could have been a kick ass urban fantasy about Vampires and shit...instead we got the opposite of that. For some reason, Twilight pisses me off, because it could have been good, but it turned into something super awful.

No it couldn't. Stephanie Meyer is incapable of writing herself out of a garbage bag.

Nothing she writes will ever be worth anything.

I think what's worse is that it's going to take years for anyone to be able to write shit about vampires now. At least years without it being compared to the garbage known as Twilight.

Not going. It is taking years. Every vampire related thing is now all related to twilight.. It's sad.

I wonder if anyone compared JoJo's vampires to Twilight's vampires when Twilight first came out and how JoJo's vamps are way better.

The one vampire thing I actually really like is Vampire the Masquerade. Of course, the whole World of Darkness turns into a giant clusterfuck when you start to dive a bit too deep into it.

This is the part where Aaron should show up pushing Hellsing...
Hm. He must be dormant.
A lot of the time I think they just have good days. Their involvement with the game and the stakes contribute a lot, and these choices of games are helping.

Or getting hammered. something like that.

I really like when they LP quirky but decent games. It might just be my love for DP and how humorous and dumb their LP was. When they do serious games where a lot of skill gets involves it gets rough. Unless it's not a blind run, then it's not as bad.

I probably will end up changing the Vampire girl in my story into a demon or something else just to get a little more distance.

It's finneeee.. Just make sure you have set rules and not make them "sparkly immortal perverts"(-quoted from a guy who is semi famous)

Edit:Too many DPs.. It's bad.. I didn't even mean to do it on purpose.. I just instinctively hit post..
