The downsides to videogame competition has to do with launch cycles. The PS3's much higher price point was the most preventative thing. All of MS's choices were accepted because of it being so much cheaper.
MS has a long history of being a pack of idiots.
I really hope it's both.

That's the joke answer, but a solid 30 or unlocked above 30 is required for some people to literally be capable of playing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember it as an occasional thing, when there was a ton of bullshit happening onscreen. Like, it could happen, and it did, but it was still super playable.
Somebody should just make a shitty Flash game call it The Last Guardian and post it on Newgrounds.

I can't play shooters at anything thats not 60.
The only genre that Frame Rate isn't important in is VNs. Even then I would like the text to scroll at 60 thanks.

Framerate isn't that big of a deal. 60 is very appreciated, but I'll play a game on any framerate as long as it still plays. Don't give a shit.
Gotta play that bible black and school days at 120 fps.

The School Days VN looks straight out of an anime. I don't think it would look good at 120fps except for the

Anything that's not realtime or twitch gameplay, 60 is a luxury.
If a game consistently runs at like 24? I'll put up with it if I have to, but it hinders my ability to play.
Get them SSS combos.
