I just want Nintendo to announce a new console that's coming next year to blow the PS4/Xbone out of the water with horsepower and the world to be good again, instead of continually hearing how terrible the WiiU is actually doing despite having functional and excellent games.

Like I'm honestly getting a little depressed about it all.

Announcing a new console won't change a thing. People aren't avoiding it because of the systems specs, they're avoiding it because of the games.

Today's console gamer is more dudebro and the ones that aren't are handheld and mobile phone players.

If anything they'll move into a new handheld gen in a year or two to try and fight the mobile market with quality games. Wii U is sticking around, at least for the next two years, I'd say.

Really I don't feel like the thing has a problem. It has the best exclusive library of games of any console out now, and sales have been picking up like crazy since Mario Kart.

Stay out of Wii U threads for your own sanity.

Ninty stopped directly competing in the console space anyway. The Wii was them bowing out, and now they're just bridging the gap, with damn good family friendly games. Recovering from abysmal inital hardware sales isn't easy, but it's been getting better with every major Ninty release.

I'm just glad Ninty has some really deep pockets. It makes any failure like this totally recoverable, especially when they're nice enough to make a billion goddamn awesome games for it and trust that to sell consoles.

I think they should market the Wii BC harder. It would make a lot more people impressed with the system.

I actually have some but I don't like taking it because it makes me sleep in anyway. I took some around 10pm and didn't wake up until 2pm the next day. I even set like 3 alarms and I don't remember them going off at all.

Wouldn't do Nintendo any good, and could possibly cause more damage than the Wii-U has financially. Nintendo's issues are complicated and don't have easy solutions.

Woof. I end up doing this stupid shit to myself, especially lately since I've been sick since finals week. Your situation, along with Aaron's and Duke's sounds fucking rough. I guess I'm just offering my sympathies.

Well, at least we know we have another year of WiiU material. Then the New 3DS will come out, sell like hotcakes, and we'll see where things go from there.

You sound worried for Nintendo.

Granted, their release schedule for stuff on the VC is terrible, but they are steadily growing the Wii U to be their GameCube. I'm ok with that. I owned a GameCube and a PS2.

That threw me off mad hard because my FF14 characters name is Tsuki Kiyoshi and I thought you were saying you were me for a second.

As for avatars, mine are usually based around a central character theme. Anyone that knows who my current character is will probably get it.

Finally done with school and back home on break. Now time to take off my pants, eat a bag of doritos and play some Dragon Age Inquistion for the next 24 hours.

Oh yea and I guess I'll watch some Best Friends videos as well.

Game aside, the LP itself just isn't great. You might enjoy it but as someone who's played the game I found the LP incredibly frustrating. Glad to see the back of it tbh. Hopefully they've learn the lesson of never doing double blind LP's.

More like the lesson learned from this needs to be not to put someone into an LP they have no interest in doing.

Matt toward the end really killed it for me.

Oh totally. I said earlier in the thread (or maybe late last one) how early on Matt's advice hurt it early on. Later his commentary just wasn't entertaining in the slightest.
