Argh, the wait is killing me.
Fuck you Nintendo for making me wait. Fuck. You.

:lol But honestly, there'll always be some people complaining that it's too hard or too easy. Even on a dedicated site like GAF you have a community with a widespread range of skills. Impossible to make everyone happy.zigg said:Judging by the last page or three of comments, Koizumi's extra 20% of difficulty was too much.

What did you think of Worlds 4, 5 and 6?LOZLINK said:to be honest, i don't see why this is considered the greatest game of all time. Fanboyism aside, i'm not feeling this is better than zelda oot. Call me a nostalgic dipshit but oot was perfection.
BowieZ said:So it seems Koji Kondo composed Yoshi Star Galaxy -- I should have known -- as well as Sky Station Galaxy 1 (trailer theme).
That leaves three other pieces that he created, but I'm wondering if that comprises Starship Mario versions 1, 2 and 3?
I was so very, very glad when I somehow managed to do Flip Swap's purple coins on my first try. Tall Trunk's weren't so bad either, since I knew the course it only took five tries. On the other hand, every time I get a new prankster comet I'm always just hoping it won't be a daredevil run. Only done one so far which went well, but I'm dreading having to do it on harder bosses.HK-47 said:Wow Flip Swap and Tall Trunk's purple coins scare me. Not even Dreadnought and Luigi PC and Melty Molten Daredevil left me this nervous and frustrated.

Was all that in the Iwata Asks? And I would bet my life on Kondo writing the main Sky Station tune (although I thought I read that somewhere recently anyway). But having said that, I no doubt will be proven wrong. :lolSir Johnny said:I read he indeed wrote Yoshi Star and Starship Mario, and also Bowser Jr's theme (the fiery flotilla one). Are you sure he was the one who composed Sky Station?

andriasang said:Regarding his work on the game in general, Kondo explained that, compared to his work on the original, he'd wanted to make more songs for Galaxy 2. For Galaxy 2, he ended up working on five songs. The included the Yoshi Star Galaxy theme, the theme song for the Mario star ship, and a Koopa Jr. theme.
The_Technomancer said:If Luigi in Galaxy 1 was say, a 7 or an 8 (I.e cool, but not mindblowing), then the bonus in this game is supposed to rank from about an 8 at the beginning, quickly ramping up to an 11
Wow. Andriasang is a GOD. Thanks to both of you!Sir Johnny said:According to andriasang (it's trustworthy, I hope):

Why did you sell it to begin with? My Wii often collects dust for months at a time, but I'm always glad to own one when something like this is released. The Wii is very cheap so I can't imagine it hurting your wallet too much by simply holding onto it.warthog said:Must resist wii. I know they aren't the same posters but it's funny to see people going "meh, this is too easy" at the first world of the game and those who go "FUCK THIS IN THE ASS" at the later galaxies/challenges.

I'm on world 3. You guys can throw the "don't judge it until you've beaten it," but shouldn't such a critically acclaimed game that surpassed OOT suck me in right away. Blah whatever, i'll come back with finished impressions.BowieZ said:What did you think of Worlds 4, 5 and 6?And S?
Man, to be able to play ALL FOUR Wii Mario platformers for the first time again... at the same time no less... lol... on a black Wii! You're so lucky!HalcyonTB12 said:At the end of June i'm gonna get a black wii, mario galaxy and mario galaxy 2. I've been holding out on getting a wii because mario galaxy is all that I want to play on it, but now that there's 2 of them, plus nsmbwii I think i'm gonna pull the trigger. It's gonna be a great July.
Well, SMG2 certainly sucked me in right away, much more than I ever expected.LOZLINK said:I'm on world 3. Yeah, that's right. Super Paper Mario.
Well, technically, no. It's not obliged to suck everyone in immediately. Hell, it's not obliged to entertain specifically you, either. It may not work for you, critically acclaimed or no. And that's okay.LOZLINK said:I'm on world 3. You guys can throw the "don't judge it until you've beaten it," but shouldn't such a critically acclaimed game that surpassed OOT suck me in right away. Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm having fun with the game so far. It's just that i really went in with extremely high expectations, and when i say high, i mean highRevenantKioku said:Well, technically, no. It's not obliged to suck everyone in immediately.
