Ah, good to know. Wasn't sure since Smash for 3DS seems like it will be asking for a bit more in bandwidth.Naw, from top of my head, if you are only using internet for smash (no multitasking). You might only need 5mb down and 2mb up with good ping but I could be wrong. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong.
My thumb rule for my online gaming is more than 20mb down and 3mb up.
awwww yissss
Our internet sucks in MS. Tested my work and it was 5 mbps. Think my home is around the same. I really want to move to somewhere that has Fiber Optic and not Cable.
Also, to throw it out there, Pingtest is better for measuring your connection for gaming than Speedtest. It specifically measures the quality if your connection, ping, and jitter.
"Some online games may not perform optimally"
The other Canada was in MB, not Mb. 1 MB is 8 MbSeems that the 80% stat is off.
That's, uh... slightly better.
EDIT: That's not mine BTW, it's an online friend's work connection.

You could offer to pay for an upgrade if you are the one who wants it.
Mine's the worst one here.
Home connection. Absolute balls and the homeowner refuses to upgrade it.
My mobile 4G is 53ms Ping, 9.6Mbp/s Download, 9.77Mbp/s Upload.
If I must, will use 4G for Smash.
Bow to your superior Venezuelan internet.

how do you pass the time
cause it's clearly not with the internet
"Faster than 58% of VE" ;_; I'm so sorry
why is my rating barely higher than yours despite the much lower ping
Might be because of the packet loss test. Halfway considering installing Java to see if that would improve mine since the MOS scale says <50 ping with no packet loss should get an A.
Even with my F+ grade connection, I can play online games just fine. I wouldn't worry too much.
Line Quality B* everywhere.
Me too.
Cause it takes distance into account.why is my rating barely higher than yours despite the much lower ping
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. Thank you for actually catching that. Hahaha, we are so silly guys. The other Canada was in MB, not Mb. 1 MB is 8 Mb
Yep. B*, 20ms ping, 3ms jitter.Line Quality B* everywhere.
Me too.
It's 39.8 upload and 11.35 download good?

I got 28ms ping, how's that? LolPing my man, that's what matters. That's why I suggested people use Pingtest to check their connections instead of Speedtest, more relevant results for online gaming (packet loss, ping, jitter).
What do you recommend? The official nintendo one isn't on their online store anymore.
So is the ping you get from something like that the latency you'll expect in online matches?
Because 34+ seems pretty rough to actually play online if so.

How far away is the server?28ms ping, is that good?
It did the one in AtlantaHow far away is the server?
Behold! The perils of Australian internet!
Holy shit at some of these speeds though.
