At least with Distant Planet its name is kind of an acknowledgement that it's not based on any one Pikmin area in particular.

Conflicting, Kanto Gym is a top tier Pokemon track that tends to get nothing but arse remixes for some reason but maybe smash can at last give me the remix I desire.

The background wasn't even similar to the Prime version at all. It was dimly lit techno ruins or something, not a fairly well lit space ship.

Norfair was a lava stage, but was very true to its name, even featuring a specific section of Norfair in the background. What was weird on that level was Ridley's theme not being on it, instead being on the unrelated Orpheon...

The anime is the gold standard for many a pokemon remix, I wonder if there's any good stuff from Gen 5 and 6 at this point since the soundtrack release only went up to Gen 4.

I should mention that I was thinking of Kanto Gym Leader Battle in particular, that is however a solid version of the gym theme, it's like a battle theme unto itself which makes sense because I'm sure it played every time Ash was about to bullshit his way through a battle he should by all accounts have lost.

Kyurem is a Poke Ball Pokemon.

Genesect is the only Gen 5 legendary Pokemon (excluding the three musketeers, but we already have Keldeo) that isn't in the game in any form (unless I'm misremembering the Pokemon trailer for Smash), so it is interesting they didn't go for it.

IIRC, Genesect is a pokeball pokemon, it shoots a horizontal tecnobeam across the stage

The main problem with Brawl pokemon is that there's almost no non-legendary offensive pokemon..

Wow, so Pokemon already has two stages on the 3DS! Not only that, but it looks like we're finally getting some sort of Gen 5 representation in Smash. Here's hoping we get lots of N's Theme in this stage! It's a shame that we only get two pieces of music per 3DS stage; otherwise, I would love if they included this gem.

If let's say Sakurai graces us with not just Ness and Lucas, but yet another Mother character who would you want it to be? Personally I'd love to see Jeff. I don't think it's an unrealistic choice since he'd be a gadget heavy character, I can see him being a clone of Snake.

Also music wise, gen 5 did that cool low health beep being part of the music which for some reason they didn't bring back for gen 6, which automatically makes it top tier in my books.

I heard the story about Undertaker's streak. With the fact that he lost to a part timer, and the part timer left afterward is just wrong. Everything is so wrong about his streak loss. They could find better wrestler that could carrying his torch for long time. I watched wrestling when I was young because my friends forced me to.

I mentioned this in the chat, but I think it would be cool if every character had a 'home stage'. So with 5 Mario reps, we'd get 5 Mario stages, with 5 Zelda reps, we'd get 5 Zelda stages, and so on. The more stages we see, the better I feel about this prediction.
