Fox and Falco had multiple trophies in Brawl, but the fact that the trophy is just called "Wolf" and not, like, "Wolf (Assault)" like the extra Star Fox trophies were in Brawl suggests that he isn't playable.

Which makes sense, because there was no good reason to think that the ESRB leak wasn't the final roster. Just false hope.

The ESRB roster, both characters and stages, are the final rosters (barring potential DLC), mark my words.

I'm almost certain there's still a stage left locked; the ESRB footage wasn't from a 100% complete game (new trophies were still being unlocked) and there is a very noticeable stage-shaped space at the bottom right of the leaked stage screen.

Well, the All-Star mode from the leak could've been from a different save, a different build or even taken by a different person with a different copy than the CSS, since it was all from a video compilation, and there's nothing that suggests is was all taken from a single system in a single save state.

There's also the fact that the Japanese commercials say there are "over 40 characters", and the leaked roster is 48 characters. I guess there's room for 1 or 2 characters more if you don't count the Miis, but that's the best case scenario.

Wasn't there a photo compilation that gives decent evidence that it was all from the same save state?

Think about what you just said. If the All-Star mode pic came from a different save/build then so could've the CSS. We already have evidence that the stage roster has been moved around a bit since the ESRB leak. What's to say the CSS was final either? There's no context to the picture captured.
