Still surprised at the amount of people thatthought smashrun was online.....i thought it was obvious that it would be local only. too much going on in smash to run stable online.

People thought that because Famitsu said it had online capability. Then Sakurai confirmed on Twitter that it was a misprint.

Of course Jigglypuff is the last unlock just to troll everyone. (Because she's a veteran and always the easiest to unlock...except in Brawl...and 4...uh...nvm...)

Smash Run being local only, and the fact Gema had 1,400 street passes - the maximum possible - says to me things are just different in Japan. People are in closer proximity, population is denser, and there is no reason for online.

Whereas in America it is basically unfeasible to play local multiplayer unless you already know a specific group of friends. I've had a 3DS since launch and take it with me everywhere - including the toll booth I work at that sees thousands of vacation goers a day pass through - and I have 200 Miis in my plaza.

I will never, unless I drive to somebody's house and sit down with them with the express interest in playing Smash Run, ever be able to play Smash Run with another person.

Meltdowns and crying? Lol. Me saying that Dr. Mario and Dark Pit can fuck off is hardly that. I am still excited for the game, but I think their inclusion is lame. You can keep protecting nonsense though, I've seen GAF lose their shit for far less (The shadows in the PS4 version of The Last of Us).

There is disappointment and then there is butthurt.

I am disappointed that Mewtwo isn't in and that this is the final roster (for now maybe).

However, I'm not losing my shit over the internet about it, calling for Sakurai to never make another game, and that this game is now worthless because of that.

People seem to think that whining about something over and over and over again and often getting really worked up about it is simply disappointment. There are levels to this shit.

Also if we get another Fire Emblem character we should get Sigurd, he's more deserving and he WAS going to be in Melee but was scrapped for Roy because advertisement.

Did he? I thought he just said there wouldn't be paid DLC for characters/he didn't want to charge people for characters. I don't recall anything about free DLC characters being denied though.

Regardless, Jigglypuff is back so I'm already happy with the roster just for that. In general, the only thing I am somewhat disappointed about is some of the color choices for the other costumes for certain characters.
