That's just limiting a character for no real reason. The ground bounce would've been a good reason to use meteors (in this example Mario's Fair) on the stage, but being able to tech it means that it's now not worth using it outside it's intended use off stage, which might not even be worth it if the air dodges are as spammable as JoeInky is saying.

Eh, I wouldn't worry too much about hits air dodge spammers off the edge. Mid-late Brawl meta already took care of that. Its by no means easy, but it is super useful to employ and doesn't have much down side.

It's not just down throw, it's any move at low % (!!). Mega Man is canceling the weak hitstun state with his Up B, you're not supposed to be able to do that. No approach will stop Mega Man from spamming Up B to break out -- you'll just be unable to combo Mega Man until the threshold when he goes into the stronger hitstun state (so probably 50% or above).

Ah, okay, thanks for clarifying. I didn't see other bounces being cancelled in the video other than throws. I can see how this and the air dodging might be problems now.
