Maybe. I still think Dixie might be a DLC character. I do think the trophies kill the theory of "Wii U/3DS link unlockable characters", at least.

Yeah, I agreed with you there on Wii U/3DS Link but SpanishKiller said that it was his friend or his speculation but I can't help to wonder if DLC characters would lack ability to earn their own trophies in single modes.

I'd like to think anything is possible. There's really no strict formula for Smash, and none of the games have a set of rules that have been followed to the note, really. Even though we have a full roster right now, anything could be on the table in the future. Who knows.

Yeah, I wonder if DLC characters actually wouldn't able to earn their own trophies but it would feel weird if it happened.

I don't really believe in DLC character right now, but someone really need to do datamines to find out if we have DLC slots, hidden characters files, cut characters, etc.

Here's what I'm concerned about.

Sakurai builds up a team after a game comes out, and once it's finished they split up. It happened with Brawl's team of Monolith, Games Art, and Paon, '"Project Sora" on Kid Icarus, and it'll probably happen with Namco Bandai. If Namco splits after the Smash Wii U release, who is gonna make the DLC?

Who's to say they are "done" with the game? If DLC is in the plans, its a part of the contract. The team is "done" with the game once they're done with a set amount of DLC, assuming it exists.

They also have to provide patches and the like.

Not to Miiverse as the software needs to be running.to post screenshots in those communities. But screenshot mode is JPEG/MPO output so you can post on twitter etc...

I don't think it was ever said that those trailers would be available in game.

Though the upcoming Smash Bros. game will not feature such cutscenes, Sakurai said he remains interested in launching character-specific videos that can be shared online. Nintendo has already released such videos for newcomers the Villager, Mega-Man, and the Wii Fit Trainer.
