So I learned something from Nintendo support earlier and the reason why smash demo emails have been so slow.
It's automated and being sent out in batches periodically. But that's not the problem. The problem is that it's taking forever because people keep hammering Club Nintendo so it's slowing the whole process down. The emails will be sent out until 12am PST (2am CST my time) and If you qualified but didn't receive one then to give them a call.
That is what the guy told me and my brother over the phone.

Man, I love the roster (save for the lack of Ice Climbers, which I'm pretty much relatively over), but I really can't get over the 3DS version's tiny and hole filled stage roster (and some of the large holes in music representation on top of it!). I really, really hope the Wii U version is better and more fully featured, no prominent character franchises without stages, and at least as large of a stage roster as Brawl. Less than that and the two games could never achieve greater than "good but disappointing wasted potential" to me.
EDIT: I'm liking this community split--much quieter in here now.
No SuperSah is a plus too.

My only disappointment was Dark Pit. I was lurking during the Thursday stream and saw people hating characters. I found it silly because the character is zero reason why your favorite did not get in.
I came to terms that Chorus Kids were gone. I think Ice Climbers and Chorus Kids were planned because Smash Run enemies and no trophy, but time ran out and they were not done.

Brawl has the largest openings when it comes to grabbing ledges in the series. 4 scales it down but edge hogging is nerfed.
For me, the title of "Greatest Demo Ever" probably goes to Warhawk PS3. But yeah, this Smash demo is excellent. I hope you're all playing in 3D, it looks dazzling. But what a tease it is to only have access to six characters, lol.

Absolutely how I feel too, though throw Snake alongside the IC as the roster cuts I'm still sort of upset over. I feel this is the best batch of newcomers we've had in a Smash game and Uprising was too good for me to really feel upset over a quick and easy to make clone like Dark Pit... Honestly feeling like Alph or Brittany as a quick Olimar clone with his cut Brawl stuff (I get the extra pikmin would be out of the cards) could've been another neat way to pad out the roster.
New stages look really great but good god did DK, Metroid, Yoshi, Star Fox, hell even Kirby (that gameboy stage looks barebones as fuck) get fucked over in the stage and music department. I'll even take their new stages in the Wii U version getting ported back into the 3DS version like Mac and Shulk's were.
I'm holding up hope a 10 year GAF vet didn't just throw away their account over the Ridley/Dixie/Mewtwo/Chorus Kids stuff.

Honestly after the ESRB leak, I'll put my money with him.
Anyway, I really think this thread will probably be limp for about a month as Sakurai reveals the "secret" 3DS stuff. Hopefully the next Direct gives us a great new Wii U Trailer, and we start getting a bunch of new pics of the Wii U.
Man, I'm drooling. To think we still have 3 months of POTD left at least...and I haven't even got the 3DS Version yet.

We had someone back in 2013 before E3 claim they saw the new Smash, made a new thread about it and was almost completely off base about every single thing they said and they got banned. Sorry if I'm being a bit alarmist saying you're risking your account on this, again it probably just comes down to how you say it really. :X

You mentioned your source told you about the Bowser Jr. alts. Was there anything else that was told ahead of time? I remember the alts were a part of another text leak as well.

Basically, the newcomer roster's great, even for as much as I'd like Ridley and Dixie. Fake DLC claims about the cut veterans getting back in are going to annoy me way more than claims about even more newcomers getting in that wind up being fake.

Yeah, when the Gematsu leak was a big thing he kept telling me that Chrom's model was in the game but was not gonna be a playable character. He knew this WEEKS before the Robin/Captain Falcon trailer. He also knew about Ganondorf being pretty much identical to his Brawl counterpart, at least model wise. And a lot more stuff. He hasn't been wrong about anything and I know for a fact* that he did some localization thing for the game.

I was kind of hoping there would be some reference to Sonic Wind.
That Spin Dash 2 looks pretty similar to the bounce attack though.
