I just started watching the stream like 10 minutes ago. Has anybody actually beaten Daigo and what do you get if you do? I remember reading that there would be prizes for those that pull it off.

I think you get a title or something, but he doesn't seem to be putting much effort in. He's interviewing during fights. :lol

I dunno, maybe he is attending now. Just yesterday he was saying on facebook that he wouldn't be attending NCR, but he has since erased his post.

I think the arcade cabs can be hooked to the intenet, can't they? For some reason I remember them saying that they could update machines through the internet if they needed to, but my memory is fuzzy.

Not home to test, but I'm pretty sure you can focus the short and dash out of that, taking one c.short/jab hit in the process and escaping corner. If that's the case, it's not even on par with the 50/50 dive kick set ups that he has.

No, because whichever way you dash you dash into him.

But it's not that bad because if you know it's coming, Ryu can dp to cause the reset and minimize damage. Makoto can do the same with mp fukiage.

Edit: He has a similar setup with j.mk too apparently, and Makoto can't fukiage to reset it. She can fukiage to get out of it, but then he can punish her recovery. Seems the only thing she can do to avoid it is super. Doesn't look like Ryu can do anything.

Here's my only streamed match from Slugfest tourney in Portland. It was my first ever tourny, and I've never played a Seth as good as this online.

I went 1-2. Losing to this guy first, then beating CPR from Seattle, then losing to an awful Gouken by playing without thinking. I'm moving to Portland in February though, so hopefully you guys will get to see more of me. I'm looking at you, Dartastic!

-The participating players were selected based on the results of a European survey.
-Matches in each block are played in a round-robin format.
-2/3 rounds, first-to-5.
-Losing player can switch characters.
-In the case of a 3-round draw, both players are credited with a win.
-In case of a first-place tie after all block matches are completed, there will be a 2/3 rounds, FT3 playoff.
-If there's still a tie after the playoff, then the winner will be decided based on the number of matches played. If there's still a tie after that, then there will be another playoff.
-The top player from each block will face off in the finals. The winner scores a trip to BBC this February in Switzerland, with traveling expenses and lodging covered by BBC.

The matches will be streamed on NSB TV, which airs every Wednesday morning at 7AM EST. The first matches will begin next week (11/24), and each week 2 matches will be played, if possible.

I wish there was a way to initiate a save immediately after the match without having to quit -_- I want to keep playing and I'll forget to go back and save after the session is over.

EDIT: Heh...didn't realize the redundancy of my reply.

Yeah. Some of my best matches were from the earlier matches. Did not get to save one single Pink Ranger match. Beat some annoying Blankas, Kobun and his Dudley, etc. There was lots of gif material. I'm mad.
Last night was probably the longest set I've ever played. I got like 10 trophies that I really do not care for in the span of it. I was still playing the game even though I lost interest.

I don't know if this one guy in Endless battle was using something or he was just disconnecting his wire or what but whenever he started off a match really bad, he would lose connection with whomever he was playing. But even so, he still retained his position and basically got to redo the match over. At first I thought it was just a minor thing but it happened many many times. In some instances, he also chose a different character and or ultra. Guy must have been rage rebooting or something. It was annoying the rest of the people waiting to play, myself included.

sorry, but you're wrong. from the very person that "invented" it:

"If they focus absorb and backdash away from the corner immediately, your cr. lp will hit them perfectly during the 9th frame grounded frame of Ryu's backdash. So you still can get a full combo. However, if they focus absorb, wait a little, and then backdash out, they will get out."

Holy shit. I actually won a round against a 6000BP Guile, and made him eat Last Dread Dust twice in a round. :lol :lol :lol What happens when you get close to Sonic Boom, dude.

Magically, my inputs today have been working. Which is really surprising as generally it feels like I'm flailing on the controller to get moves out online. o_O
