At some point, you have to wonder if Bernie supporters are living in the same reality distortion field as Trump supporters. How many more states will Bernie have to underperform in for fans to acknowledge that his momentum is stillborn?

Curious if places like CNN and MSNBC are actually pointing out the final result.

The NYT results site tends to give delegate estimates well before the networks. They run the numbers by congressional district.

I need to update my numbers, the final in Kansas was Bernie 23/10.

Hillary probably only increased her margins by 12

Once he does very poorly after the south is over.

It's not over until it's over. Simple as that.

I'm pretty happy with what Bernie is accomplishing, he can run until every state votes. But he needs to hit her harder now, supporters too.

You can't be that happy with it if you're fine with people staying home and letting a Republican in the White House. It wouldn't be hard for them to demonize the idea of socialism all over again, and there's no way Bernie would be able to stop that from happening.

Eh that don't matter, the message is far more important.

Excluding this one, apparently:
"Even on our worst day, we are 100 times better than the GOP."

Edit: It's not bait (unlike the majority of your posts here) so much as it's pointing out the obvious fact that you don't care about Bernie's message as much as you claim. Thankfully, the people like you are a tiny minority of voters, and if Hillary does fail, it wouldn't be because you didn't vote for her. Just pointing out the silliness of what you're saying. Bernie deserves better.

I think during the 15th is either the whole bridge is berning down or the berning train is still moving forward.

it's not over until it's over, and you better believe bernie's message will spill into the GE.

not taking the bait, if hillary loses it'll be because she failed. not us.

Sounding like a 2008 Hillary supporter

Which is precisely what Bernie doesn't need.

There's a difference between resilience in the face of despair and constant effete and incorrect cheerleading for a candidate with no reasonable path to the nomination. Glib statements like "Bernie stays strong!" and "Well done, Bernie!" are just infuriating to read when they're so directly athwart what's playing out in the polls and delegate count.

Let them dream.

I hope Rubio stubbornly stays in till the 15th to steal votes from Cruz in Florida and Ohio. Cruz will probably call Rubio every day until the 15th asking him to pray about dropping out

Because David is fighting Goliath. Every stone thrown that hits is an accomplishment here, no matter how small. Each day his campaign message stays alive is a good day. Also, many of us in the late states like Callifornia hopes he can stay in long enough to vote for him whether he wins or not.

Not at home but wtf is happening in LA. Cruz making a late run? After it was called?

I just saw that. I wonder if Cruz has enough time to actually beat Trump in LA since only 63% of the precincts have reported so far.
Edit: Nevermind it would be impossible for cruz to catch up because of the vote difference between him and trump right now.

Tonight has been mostly a fight between Cruz and Trump unlike Super Tuesday which is kind weird,

Miss. will be another blood bath for Bernie, if he isn't able to compete in Michigan or Florida, Ohio, then it just becomes a case of how long people will still give him money.

I hope he is able to stay in through April. Hopefully the time he has put into Michigan the last week will pay off.

Maine is tomorrow, so he might be able to net 15 delegates from that.

I actually find Cruz worse than Trump, but I can't get over the fact that these two are the front runners for the Republicans. I mean, it really does say a lot about their supporters.

It really is a deplorable situation. I agree, as much as I think Trump is a complete fucking tool, I somehow dislike Cruz even more.

Decision desk has his lead down to a bit under 6000 now.

EDIT: shit now it's just above 4000. Is this happening!?

Secret nose pickers.

i looked at the decision desk site and trump has a 10000 vote lead over Cruz right now while rubio is in a very distant third place.

To take one example of the huge split between election day returns and early votes in Louisiana: in Acadia County, Trump got 47 percent of the early vote, with 26 percent for Cruz and 19 percent for Rubio. In election day returns, however, it’s Trump 44, Cruz 41, Rubio 9. Trump often performs better with late-deciding voters, but we haven’t seen anything this dramatic yet.
.

This is certainly a disappointing night for Trump and an amazing night for Cruz. Very curious to see how the remaining states play out over the coming weeks. Could Cruz win??

I really think Cruz will overtake Trump eventually and win the nomination. The attacks seem to be working.

As much as I hate Trump I think Cruz is the worst choice as the GOP candidate. He's so far right and can't even begin to move center. HE wouldn't even want to.

Trump is a populist. He'll say anything to get votes. So he can change his mind when he wants.
