THey didn't cast Chris Colfer though. That entire love story went wrong.

A fair bit. It's not rare that a third of an episode would just be songs depending on how many there were.
Most episodes had around 5 songs, so a fair amount.

I just didn't like him. It's mainly down to overexposure because from season 4 onward he always had either a solo or a main or secondary plot in every single episode.
Worst character ever on that show with plenty of awful characters that completely ruined the show.
