What the hell has been going on? I was in the store a few weeks ago and they had an issue of Superman there, so I picked it up to flip through it. I see that Superman is two people, one Clark and one Superman, and Lois is in love with Superman. Okay...

Then this morning I go into the same store, and they have what is the newest issue I guess. I pick it up and I'm looking through it, Jor-El and Lara are back, on Earth, hanging out with Superman and Lois, then Zod attacks.

If anyone has been reading, please let me know what is going on?

There was a device that was discovered recently that somehow made 1/3 of the population of Earth just vanished..... this includes people Superman knows like Lois. Anyway, it seems Superman figures that the device transferred those vanished people into the Phantom Zone or something. So Superman decided to tinker with the device to create a paradise world within the Phantom Zone so that he can be together with Lois once he vanished himself. The Clark, Jor-El, and Lara that you see are just automatons. Zod on the other hand has been in the Phantom zone ever since the real jor-El banished him there decades ago. This is Superman's reality Zod, not the pocket universe Zod that he kiilled, or the Russian Zod.

Ask evil solrac then, he's the one buying all things DC. Everything I know about Superman's recent escapades comes from Superman/Batman, Adventures of Superman, and his guest appearances.

Now that I read it a bit more, it seems that it was Superman himself who made the device. The device was meant to transfer people from this world into the paradise world(Phantom Zone) where there will be no war, hunger, disease, etc..... Superman then figure it was a mistake because he was basically playing God, so he sent the device into the world with the automatons he created(as keepers). He then promptly erase his memory so he wouldn't remember what he did. Zod then found the device, know that the son of Jor-El(he doesn't know who Superman is.... just that this person is related to Jor-El) made it and sent it back into the world. Some unknown secret people found it and accidently activate it triggering the "Vanishing" where a large percentage of Earth's population vanished. Superman took the device away from them and examined it to found out who created it and why....
