Huh? He's saying that different environmental factors will have different evolutionary results.

Yeah, I'm genuinely confused at what Stabbie was getting angry about. We already have incredible diversity on the planet from all the different environments. It's not as if I came up with that idea, this is something from grade 10 biology.

Edit: And, seriously, I'd love to see humanoid aliens too.

These intelligent beings have mastered time and space travel but always end up crash landing or accidentally uncloaking in front of cheap ass, low quality flip-phone cams. Their president must be ashamed.

Why would the aliens look the way we portray them in the movies?
Well this is all completely hypothetical but if you accept as a premise that aliens really were visiting the planet, and people saw them and told other people about them, then those descriptions would probably be the basis for the way aliens look in some sci-fi movies.

Yeah it's a shame that beings that have mastered faster than light travel between galaxies can't land in the middle of a field without immediately dying.

Hey maybe is real!

Maybe they're based off their Zerg cousins already on Earth:

Giant Isopods, awesome. Thanks for the NatGeo link too. I know there are quite a few dolphin and orca groups that use unique hunting methods not used by other groups as well.

It's those damn Russian winters. They're cold.

Didn't you just blow up at me for making a joke about how likely things are? Come on, practice what you preach.

You pulled a statistic out of your ass and likened the probability of humanoid aliens existing to "every woman in the world lining up at your door to have sex", while I said "a water world would likely not produce a species capable of interstellar travel."

Not the same thing.

Seriously, why 'humanoid'? The humanoid archetype is built off a very specific ancestor, that most animals share (I think? I haven't looked into it too much, and don't know where to start) - the odds that we co-incidentally are visited by beings that look EXACTLY like us? Large head, two eyes, nose mouth, hands, feet? Really?

Maybe it's more of a hybrid human than an actual full blown alien. This thread reminds me of the starchild project that proposed that aliens may be doing genetic testing on humans using thier own DNA.

Most of what the guy in the video says can be debunked, but its still an interesting watch.

Would any government ever "confirm" an alien if it were real?

People have enough doubt built into them that it doesn't make sense to speak out on the subject.

I imagine some would. Some countries have had very progressive attitudes towards UFOs. Brazil for example. The US is notoriously the least open about it.

There seems to be no obvious signs of the alien 'freezing' on it's skin and the decay seems too long for it to be out ABOVE the snow like that. Just my 2 cents.

ITT Gaf tries refute greys by their limited knowledge of the evolutionary process.

Also:

Dude if aliens were real they'd have like 8 tentacles and look all crazy like a bug!

*Alien bug comes to visit.*

So faaaake. Why would aliens look like we imagined! LOLOLOLOL

What, a dead one? It'd depend on the government in question, and it's public's "need to know" policy I reckon. If they do though, then the whole world's going to know about it shortly afterwards anyway, and they'd likely be taking that into consideration.

Also, some of the decision would probably be based on what the alien looks like. I mean, if it's a 20 foot tall armoured monster with 2 heads full of razor sharp teeth, would you tell the world? You'd be basically announcing that there's a whole planet full of these fuckers somewhere out there, who are capable of interstellar travel.

If you're talking about one that's alive, then who knows.

The irony in this post almost made me cry.

Maan if I was a rich man and had some friends in the special effects department in hollywood, I would get them to make all sorts of cool looking "Aliens" with like raw beef. Then fly over stupid little towns in the Mid-West or maybe Alaska and plant (drop) these little guys at random locations.

Then watch as stupid news ensues all over the net the next day about "Alien found" while I high five my special fx buddies over a beer.

Basically be a rich and bored troll.

Not saying this might be related to my idea. Regardless it gave me that awesome idea.

The interesting thing about these hoax videos and the accompanying thread is like 99% of the people that click do so with it being understood it's a hoax. They just want to see how well-done the alien looks. Then there's meus renaissance.

Huh? For funsies, why don't you clarify - how would the evolutionary process -support- the existence of 'greys'?

What?

Aliens, smart enough to invent light speed travel. Not smart enough to wear pants in 0 degree weather.

Maybe it's an alien from a cold weather planet, was out sun bathing nude in what it considered a warm summer day, fell into a hole and starved to death.

Looks like someone's mad cause people ITT are indirectly calling him an idiot for believing in greys.

If you think a human and an alien from another system could possibly have anything resembling similar DNA you are nuts. They pretty much wouldn't even have DNA as we know it.
