Surfer girl nonsense, resistance and killzone fans go away please

It would be a shame for Nintendo or EA to miss such an opportunity. I think tricks would be the only difficult thing to translate but I suppose that's where flailing the wiimote wildly would come in handy.

If they did it like they did it in SSX Blur (titling the nunchuck/wiimote in a certain direction and pressing a button) it would be cool. Perhaps pressing 'Z' and leaning the nunchuck would be left hand grabs, and pressing 'A', 'B', or both and leaning the wiimote would be right hand grabs. Shifting your weight on the board could translate to spins, perhaps lifting up your front food would make you to a backflip.

....honestly, the possibilities are endless and it wouldn't be hard to translate at all. The wii board allows somebody to create the most interactive, break-through snowboarding game ever, and they better do it.

:lol well ill be, SG is right again.

I can confirm 1 and 6 personally; I even know the specific titles.
I wonder if I know this person.

Seems like SG dug a little on the things we discussed last week.

1) SSX 5 is dead, rivalry between PS360 snowboarding titles of Montreal studios still existent. (so a non SSX game still exist?)
2) Mother/Earthbound series coming to Wii and/or DS stateside, very possibly next year.
(seriously major fail if this isn't Reggie's answer to the hardcore game drought SG...)
3) Team Ico is working on two titles (maybe three), one major and the other(s) smaller. The smaller one(s) is/are more like Echochrome and does/do not take place inside the Ico canon.
4) **** & ***** 2 is still happening.
5) Also to look forward to next year is "Shrek going to unprecedented video game territory." Using skills of deduction, it is either a music title or a quality title. It is fairly obvious that the latter is definite no, so it probably a musical title.
6) Even more exciting unprecedented occurrence in interactive entertaiment is the release of a new Leisure Suit Larry title and a new Sex & the City titles in the same year for mobile communication tools, computing devices and other things.
7) A2M is working on Indiana Jones for people who cannot stand to play consoles with the number three in the name.
8) EA's Wii Balance Board title ain't SSX.
9) Cyclomite is absolutely amazing. (what?)
10) When is Rage coming out?
Second half of 2009.
A new Leisure Suit Larry? Is Al Lowe involved... nah, I shouldn't get my hopes up...

this rumor is very very old by the way , any PS fan already knew about it

If I recall correctly, someone contacted him a few weeks ago, and he said he had no idea about the project.

7) A2M is working on Indiana Jones for people who cannot stand to play consoles with the number three in the name.

Ass 2 Mouth or a typo of AM2? If the latter, I'd be very interested.

1) That Avatar game that Ubisoft Montreal is working with will ship with high-quality 4D glasses (like the ones that you get when you see an IMAX 4D film).
2) A Japanese game company is working on a 3D incarnation of a legendary racing franchise.
3) The current version of Indiana Jones has pretty much nothing in common with what was seen in the E3 06 trailer. The version where Indy is Ali rhythmic taps of the A button is no more and a signature, announced feature or two may have disappeared. (Jaffe will be happy if he's reading this)
4) A2M's Indiana Jones title, which has had a far more* stable development, follows the same plot of its big next-gen siblings, but in an alternate universe sort of way. Waggle-lovers shan't worry, Wii is the lead SKU for the title. (It's still A2M SG... no disrespect to A2M)
5) What do you think of Wii Fit?
Day one purchase.

I cannot confirm this tidbit, but I've heard it from one who is rather reliable:
6) There is a "Christian and historically accurate response to Spore" in the works.

disregard that, SG didn't say it was being developed by EA.

I read these two and seriously thought you were just pulling things out of thin air as a joke, I had to check the real site. The first one sounds absurd and the second one is absurdly vague

As for #2, my first thoughts were Rad Racer and Rock n Roll Racing but neither of those were franchises... I can't think of a 2D racing franchise that hasn't been ruined by an attempt at 3D yet

Are they also going to ship the thousands of dollars worth of projection equipment to enable circular polarization at home?

Oh... Kenta - Rad Racer had a US sequel.

Ah, forgot about that. I still wonder if Square Enix would take that kind of risk, though, it seems pretty unlikely coming from them

Ridge Racer with 3D goggles?

I bet this is just a Earthbound VC release. I do hope Nintendo has finally decided to localize Mother 3 but I guess the chances are slim. The most likely scenario is probably a localized Mother 3 release for the VC. Oh well. I guess I'll wait a while longer before I cave in and use a translation guide.

Rumors are that Surfer Girl is not one person, but a group of people.

Rumors are that people only pay attention to him because they think he's a surfer girl.

IO is considering doing this, but demand will decide the outcome.

Well ladeedah. Pretty easy to say that since they've announced plans to work on the game months ago.

People pay attention because he/she gets things right. If you look through this thread you'll see people who are also in the know confirming some of the things posted in that blog.

Maybe its Gran Turismo in 3d?
i know historically in film 3d has been for campy movies like Nightmare on Elm Street with cheesy 3d goggles (Ridge Racer, being the cheesiest of the racing series) but the tech has improved considerably, when I saw Beowulf in 3d at the theaters it was really like watching a movie in 3d like I imagined as a kid, full colors and everything, "serious" games and movies could really benefit from this tech now.

Avatar as in the Airbender? Do want, but the 4D glasses part is a bit far out, hm.

Fucking hell @ SSX5 canceled. Has there been a single good snowboarding game on 360/Ps3?

Does the Amped game that launched with Xbox 360 count? I've never played it. Just suggesting the only snowboarding game I know of this current gen.

"Cooooooooool Boarderrrrrsssssssssss, here we go" says mister Kaz in winter of 2008....

seriously I'm surprised Sony hasn't released a Cool Boarders for the PS3....not that this is a bad thing........ after part one.... the rest....well.....

it would be nice to have Sony hire some of the devs who made 1080 for the N64 to work on the game.....

RC Pro-Am?

The item implies it was originally a western-developed franchise, since there'd really be no reason to specifically point out that the new one is coming from a Japanese dev if the franchise was always made by Japanese devs...

Can someone fill me in on what this is all about? I wasn't following the Surfer Girl stories, so I am not exactly sure who she is, and how she is getting so much insider information.

Can someone give me a synopsis of who she is, how this started, and how she is getting this information? Also, has her information been accurate?

/\

No one knows who she is, or how she gets her information. For all we know she's a high-priced escort who pries sensitive information out of gaming insiders through pillow talk or S&M games.

She started posting videogame rumors as a means of drawing attention to her blog, in hopes that people would also stick around to read her political posts. Rose to prominence when Kotaku and few other sites linked to a rumor about LA Noire, which was after she leaked the first [alpha] screens of POP4.

As for her track record, some have been proven true, others have been confirmed by people on this site who also claim to be in the know (although we have about has much credible info about those posters as we do SG, so they could just be shouting 'oh, this is true' for attention), some have been wrong, and some havent yet been proven either way. Her track record is better than any other rumor source.
