Survivor: One World |OT| Thread of Stupid Name, Promising Twist

Christina and Alicia are stupid. They had a better chance being at the end against Troyzan than any of the other girls. A jury full of girls would not give Troyzan a million dollars as we've seen many times before. It's all about favoritism and nothing about skill.

Alicia and Christina are afraid to do what it takes to win. They probably know they are low on the totem poll but they choose to law low for now to not draw any attention to themselves. It happens just about every season.

I'm still amazed how dumb these people are. How does Christina think going with the girls is a good plan when they were going to vote her out before the merge, Alicia was bullying her in public with Colton, and now with this tribe she is still clearly on the outs? Atleast Alicia I can understand, because she probably thinks she is tight with Kim.

Alicia, no. Remember she was the one that put together the alliance of five girls at the beginning. She may think she's still running the show with the girls which explains why she hasn't flipped.

Christinia, on the other hand, is dumb. She was mocked by Alicia on multiple occasions and was clearly on the outs of the girls before the switch and was STILL on the outs after the switch. I don't understand why she thinks she has a chance siding with the girls every round.

Why are we saying Christina should have switched when it would have basically been Cochrane 2?

Final 5 is better than Final 6. Cochran really had no advantage of switching other than his tribe hated him and he had to make a hail mary to try and stay in. I wouldn't say he made the wrong move as it definitely made more sense to atleast try something different and hope for the best. He just didn't try to play the game at all after that.

She should know by now that she has no chance at all staying with the girls. At least if she switched she could try to make something happen. Either way she is pretty useless and I wish Colton would have stuck around long enough to get rid of her.

Why are we saying Christina should have switched when it would have basically been Cochrane 2?

Difference is the men are disorganized and aren't a solid group like last season. Switching it up would give her a much bigger opening since none of the men really want to work together anyway.

Every season there are people that need to make a move and instead they sit on their hands. Does is only seem this clear to us because of the editing? What exactly is Christina waiting for? Alicia has to know she's on the outside as well, if Troyzan can see it and bring it up.

Troyzan has to run the table in immunity challenges from this point on. It will be an incredible feat if he can do this.

Running his mouth after victory isn't going to do anything except cost him jury votes.

Not sure why I even care though. It was over for him and the rest of the guys when they got rid of Mike and lost their tie in the numbers game after the merge. And he bought Kim's BS about Mike targeting him. I guess I just hate to see it all girls at the final 6 because I don't like a single one of them.

Who said that? I missed it. Probably Kat.

Ya Kat.

I saw this on reddit and thought it was interesting, do you guys think the prize money for the runner ups is too much? Making people like Alicia and Christina stay in an alliance that they know wont allow them to win the game but gives them a good shot at 2nd or 3rd.

Regarding tonight's episode.

Tarzan, Christine and Alisia are idiots.

I won't disagree, but Tarzan is secretly the troll of the season. My wife and I are wondering if he has some off-camera alliance with Kim, because he has voted with the girls basically all the way.

And he bought Kim's BS about Mike targeting him.

We know by now that the Troy/Mike thing wasn't entirely concocted by Kim. Nearly every contestant who has been voted off has said in exit interviews that there were tensions between the two going back to the beginning, and that theirs was a marriage of convenience. Kim was smart to exploit that.

I love when things don't go according to plan... Troy staying around is gonna be good for drama.

Yeah, this is my position as well. I don't particularly care for Troy (though I don't dislike him) but at least things are more interesting for the game when he stays around.

That would be interesting but Survivor never does that. If they had made an alliance we would have seen it.

Now that I think about it some more I think Tarzan's vote actually makes sense. He was probably thinking that the girls are going split the vote between him and Leif, and if he votes for Leif he gets to stay in the game one day longer. This is a smart move if he was positive that Christina was not going to vote for Kim. Although, I hate having him in the game because he is such a wild card.

Although I'm guess I'm rooting for Troyzan, he really deserves what he gets because he believed Kim when she told him that Mike was gunning for him. I can't wait to see his reaction on the reunion show when he realizes he was duped. That was really the point to changed the entire game. The guys could still be on top if it wasn't for him.

I was thinking earlier about how it would be cool if they kept some things from the audience. Like say Troyzan did find an idol today but we don't find out until he plays it at next week's tribal. Have they ever done anything like that before?

I don't think they have, and they really shouldn't.

One of the good things about the editing on Survivor is that they are generally able to maintain a certain amount of suspense without leaving any major strategic decisions/alliances/events totally in the dark. Besides, there would be no reason to withhold that kind of information from the audience; finding an idol would give Troy a major strategic advantage in a game where he's in life-or-death mode, so it would provide a lot of drama.

If I was Toyzan I'd explain to Sabrina and Chelsea that there was no way the three of them (with Kim) were going to the finals. Kim is taking kat, no doubt about it.

Also liked Kim talking about Troyzan having no shame during a shot of Tarzan standing up with a women's bikini bottom on. Funny stuff

Good lord the IDIOCY going on this season is infuriating. Pure, straight stupidity. Even if the girls were flipped that stupid dipshit Tarzan voted for Leif. The fuck?

Wow, that was a hard episode of stupidity to sit through. Christina and Alicia are especially deluded. Tarzan - well, I wasn't surprised.

Come on Troyzan run the table. I have zero tolerance for stupid useless players like Christina. Do players like her season after season think they will get far by just going along and laying low? No they always go 5-6 as low man on the totem. The only way to move up as well as earn jury votes is to make a power move. Getting Kim out is a power move, though the girls alliance might end up being spiteful, she will definitely gain respect for jury members who thought she was useless. And Tarzan could have tied the vote if he voted for Kim, but I guess he didn't want to risk the revote of the 3, he will always take the guarantee to stay by voting for Leif, which I can understand.

I always enjoy it greatly when the guys rage out at challenges like Troyzan did. Shame there's no one alpha enough to get in his face, we might get something magical like Bobby Jon / Jamie : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHjhQr3ePCI&t=2m

Terry/Aras from Panama had some good moments, too. I remember Jeff described them as being "like two battering rams" after one of the challenges where it got physical.

Yes. Because oftentimes, it works. The list of Survivor winners is filled with people who didn't make power moves and still made it to the end—and won. Though it's obviously a lot more entertaining to watch aggressive, outgoing players make a series of ambitious moves, at the end of the day it's all about not getting voted off.

Like everyone has said, Tarzan and Christina and Alicia are incredibly stupid. I can barely watch this anymore.

I just don't want Kim to win. She's subversive. I don't like her. Although if the guys on the jury figure out what she has been doing, she may not get jury votes if they vote like every other recent jury.

I really wanted Troyzan to win, but the odds are stacked against him.

troyzan was completely lucid; had a great plan; and these people are SO fucking stupid. I mean, he even laid out the plan by which they get to the final 5 and they're so fuckkkking stupid.

Leif ran with it. Tarzan? WTF. why did he vote leif? urgh.

STUPID CUNTS!

troyzan is awful but now I wish he'd win this. All these awful awful awful people

sabrina is awfulness.

awful.

also. christina deserves every bit of shit thrown her way. strategy? The thing up for auction gives "the winner a leg up on the immunity challenge" AND neither of them threw out $500 (and that includes troyzan - he should have just said $500). WTF.

fuck all these cunts are stupid.

worst season of survivor by far.

Sabrina btw is one special kind of you-know-what. "take it like a man!" yeah the guy doesn't have a right to be mad right after getting fucked over. I hate these entitled women.

How dumb can these people be. Top 5 was right there!

Those women are horrible. I knew that Chelsea would be shown to be a spoiled little princess. I hate how these people think everyone should just do what they want and not be upset and try to keep themselves in the game. They want to control and bully Troyzan around but when he doesn't take their crap they have the nerve to whine about it...unbelievable.

What a terrible season. I'm starting to wonder if they purposely cast useless men so they would have a "woman's season".

At this point I think Kat might win it if she makes it to the top 3. :lol She's dumb and inoffensive, hasn't really fucked over anyone or said anything malicious.

Wouldn't surprise me.... this started with the "the guys won immunity and still went to tribal" idiocy. The guys in this game are the worst in the history of survivor.

International Ponderosa eps courtesy youtube:
Ponderosa: Leif (pt1): Leif upset
Ponderosa: Leif (pt2) Jonas makes sushi. (most likeable player this season? no question)
Ponderosa: Leif (pt3): Jonas: Master-chef

Leif ran with it. Tarzan? WTF. why did he vote leif? urgh.

Tarzan has consistently voted with the women, even if nobody really knows that. It's kinda crazy.

The funniest part was Alicia just instantly bidding the max on the letter. In other seasons the group would immediately talk, bid the lowest so everyone could get the letter for cheap, hell, even sometimes give each other a twenty to make it happen.

Alicia bidding the max basically screwed over almost everyone.

I was upset there was no trap prizes this time but given their lack of coordination it ended up just as well.

Funny how the leif "ponderosa" bits have completely been overtaken by jonas who is quite entertaining to watch. both the sushi + breadfruit chip nachos were sort of entertaining.

I'm sorry but I just couldn't wathc/take Leif seriously; so upset he cried? Dude had no game. We never seen him do anything on the show; and its weird he got the boot over tarzan when it was clear; tarzan can do challenges but leif was bloody hopeless with the ropes due to his size.

and for all their protestations; the women are all coming across as unsympathetic rude selfish individuals; what with the way they were reacting to troyzan/talking to him. He was right that he had a right to speak to christina.

Urgh I hate everyone this season it seems.

Yes. Worst group of guys in the history of survivor. Just... dumb.

I don't like Leif but he even mentioned he was crying because it was emotional. It didn't sound like he was crying over being voted out at all.

And that guac dish looked phenomenal. Think I'm going to head up to the store later and make some myself.

This season sucks because of how few 'rootable' people there are. I don't want any of the remaining to win.

Also, just finished Fiji with the wife.

Fuck Dreamz.

You have no idea how different this post comes across when reading it from an Australian perspective.

Just a quick question to the people calling this cast the stupidest ever or the worst season ever.

How is this cast/season worse than Redemption Island? At least we're getting some insight with Troy, Kim, Sabrina, and Chelsea. Five of Redemption Island's Ometepe six (Ashley, Grant, Natalie, Andrea, and Phillip) sat around and did nothing but let Rob coast to the win. They wouldn't even share food with the Zapatera people because Rob told them not to.

The seventh Ometepe member, Matt, came back at the merge. After being stabbed in the back by Rob and the other Ometepes, he was approached by the Zapatera members and asked to join an alliance with them. What did he do? Went straight to Rob and said he was considering flipping, but decided to stick with Ometepe. What happened? Matt was backstabbed and he cried about Jesus for the rest of the season.

The Zapatera people weren't much better either. Julie, Ralph, and Steve were completely irrelevant to everything, while David was the first member of the jury. Mike wasn't exactly the most exciting person either.

You could argue that Redemption Island had a semi-entertaining pre-merge with Francesca, Stephanie, and Kristina, but you could argue the same about this season with Colton, Matt, Bill, and Monica.

Yeah, watching Kim control the women and take out the men is boring, but calling this season worse than Redemption Island and the cast the stupidest cast ever is a stretch.

Edit: I just realized the crying about Jesus thing can come off a little insensitive maybe? I don't mean it in a bad way. Matt's religion thing was fine with me for the first couple episodes. It's just after the fifth straight episode of him fighting back tears and saying something along the lines of "God is carrying me through this. Thank you Jesus," my reaction was "Okay, I get it. You don't need to tell me that every episode."
