Survivor: One World |OT| Thread of Stupid Name, Promising Twist

I really hate seasons where everybody knows who is in charge and who is going to the end but they still don't do anything about it. Sabrina is almost as dumb as Christina.

Christina outditzed Kat this episode and that's surprising. Despite how hot Christina is I can't in good conscience root for her at all after her performance this episode. "I have strategy, I just don't talk about it with people!"

For a brief moment I hoped Kat would vote Christina but I knew it wasn't going to happen.

Sabrina, Kat, and Christina are going to feel like such idiots when Kim, Chelsea, and Alicia are the final 3.

All the men need to go immediately. After giving up immunity, none of them should be around for the final five, let alone final tribal

Yep, after they did this stupid shit to Russell and that tribe died after I can't believe Colton of all people got the guys to go to tribal after winning an immunity challenge. So ridiculous. Women are horrible though. Only one that seems like a decent human being in Kat. So I guess I'll support her although she probably has no chance. I'm still shocked that she apparently thought she was the one leading everything?!

I'm still shocked that [Cat] apparently thought she was the one leading everything?!

That was hilarious to me. She got so upset that she was being called a follower and compared to Christina.

This is starting to remind me eerily of Big Brother.

A huge group of people who have no idea they're all someone's #2. Kat/Christina/Troyzan/Sabrina have no clue that it's Kim/Chelsea with an Alicia goat, and they all think that they're part of that F3. Just like BB13 where Adam/Shelly/Brenchel all thought they were in an F4 with Jordeff. Fucking stupid people that don't listen to basic logic and reasoning.

I honestly don't understand how people haven't figured out yet that only 3 people make the final 3. For several seasons now we've had people follow blindly in a huge alliance and then look absolutely shocked when they get voted out at final 6/final 5ish. Cochran, last season, at least had the balls to make a move even though it didn't work out for him.

What Survivor desperately needs is for them to cast somebody with Rob Cesternino potential and inject some life into the game. Somebody that isn't afraid to turn the game on its head when they realize they're outnumbered and outgunned. I'm honestly surprised (and a little impressed by Kim on this point) that this season turned out so formulaic because between the shared beach and tribal switch, you'd have thought tribal lines would have been blurred a lot more.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure we've set a record number of idiots on this season. Kim and Chelsea are basically shooting fish in a barrel and have been since Colton lost his appendix.

(Not to say the season hasn't been entertaining, I've really enjoyed this season a lot more than previous seasons. I'm just surprised it turned out the way it has.)

The season has been ok. It just has way to many boring people and hardly any real strategy. Honestly, is there anyone on this season that would have any chance of coming back besides Troyzan?

If anything, Chelsea's a bigger goat than Alicia given that she's fully transparent as a Kim toadie and will be considered as such by Sab & Kat when they're tossed.
I can easily see a Tarzan or Christina being kept around as even less of a jury threat by Kim given that's really what she's focused on locking out right now.

In another season? I could see Kim coming back after a dominant win. Would be nice to see if she's able to game with a more savvy bunch of players.
Colton was a character but he's since burned most of his Survivor bridges.

Tarzan's really the only other "very remote" possibility. Just because of the nonsense that comes out of his mouth.

Troyzan and the winner (mostly likely Kim at this point) is basically it. Probst has said in interviews that Colton was too unlikable to ever bring back, same for Alicia.

Honestly, though, that's good. I'd rather see seasons like this with all new survivors than more full All-Star seasons or seasons where the old survivors are treated like the second coming of the messiah and basically gifted the finals if their tribe wins the numbers game.

Tarzan's actually pretty boring by "crazy Survivor players" standards. The poop incident was the most entertaining he's been. He's no Shambo or Phillip. Kim and Troyzan would be the best choices for an All-Stars season for sure.

I think if they're going to bring previous players back, it has to be in a full on all star season. The other formats haven't really worked.

Have to applaud Alicia's social game if she still has a job when the season's over. She just compared the 0 IQ Christina to her students in this episode, what a lovely special education teacher she must be.

Troyzan tried but he had little to work with, might have helped if he wasn't such an ass until now. "This is my island don't fuck with me." probably didn't help in making Kat flip.

Casting director really fucked up this season. Horrible.
Wouldn't have been this terrible if Colton didn't get evac'd.

have to agree, im sure if Colton was still here this would have been a more interest season.
From the merge forward its been damn boring....im hoping it gets more interesting now that Troy is gone....i doubt it, but ill try keeping hope alive.

Letting retards go far is a brilliant strategy (for smart players) but it unfortunately makes for pretty annoying TV.

Meh disappointed in Sabrina, made the wrong move. Oh well, I still like her. I said she was the first to go when it was all girls. If the jury is bitter Sabrina can easily win, and Kim knows this too judging by the preview. If Sabrina's gone, I don't see any scenario Kim won't win if she makes it to the end.

Yeah this was absolutely horrible, but even without that I would have fired her. Her and Colton's attitude to Christina as well has been despicable.

The sad thing is, given the fact that kids who need special education often cannot defend themselves or communicate well, I imagine there are a lot of teachers out there with similar attitude and behavior like Alicia. Simply because they can get away with it.

How would that be interesting? He hated the guys. He wanted to play with the girls from the beginning. He would have been in Christina's spot. Thinking he's in the top but in reality everyone was tired of him.

Troyzan did an interview on Rob Has a Podcast . Says some interesting things that clarify up the Mike vote and other things. Also, he says Tarzan's in Alicia's back pocket so that's why Tarzan's been voting with the girls all merge. So if Alicia's really part of the final 3 group with Kim and Chelsea, I can see them voting out Sabrina and Kat at these next two TCs and have the final 5 be Kim, Chelsea, Alicia, Christina, and Tarzan. Then Kim, Chelsea, and Alicia wipe up the remaining stragglers.

Have to applaud Alicia's social game if she still has a job when the season's over. She just compared the 0 IQ Christina to her students in this episode, what a lovely special education teacher she must be.

Reminds me of Naonka or whatever her name was back in the Nicaragua season. Wasn't she a special ed teacher too? Or maybe it was just kindergarten or something I don't remember. She also had a nasty attitude. You have to wonder how schools can hire people who are so vile when they get a camera put in front of them.

But isn't that the whole point of "Villains"?

Apparently Colton and Alicia offended some of the CBS higher-ups when they were making offensive/racist insults towards Christina during that secret scene. So basically there's no way he could come back since the producers don't like him anymore.

Also, here's a nice little capture of the challenge from last night:

Somebody was talking about this comparison earlier in the thread. It's like a prophecy that they both ended up covered in oil.

Pagong-ings are always boring. I'm just surprised they didn't do a double boot episode to speed things up a bit

I think the season has been entertaining enough without needing a double boot episode. It's not always the result, sometimes it's the journey that's enjoyable. Plus, double boot episodes after the merge were only happening thanks to the extra episodes Redemption Island brought around the last two seasons.

I'm not complaining. My vote is for Chelsea.

Mine too. I wasn't really on board with her until the oil last night. Dayum she looks good.

Well this season was lame. Everyone sucked at playing the real game (mainly the guys). No one wanted to make any moves, and now the final three is going to be completely uninteresting. Kim or Chelsea have earned it. Kim more so than Chelsea I think. Troyzan was really the only thing making it interesting until he got voted off.

But I can see a certain logic and strategy why those who are numbers 4,5,6 don't want to rock the boat.

Even if you don't know that you're not in the final 3, sometimes its better to just hang on as long as you can. Once you get down to 6 people, if you can win a couple of immunity challenges, you're in the finals.

In fact, this is probably the strategy I would use. If I were in an alliance of 6 people, and even if I knew I was at the tail end of that alliance, I would probably try to hang on as long as I can and try to win immunities at the end. Because the top 3 are set. You aren't going to rock that boat and when you get down to dwindling numbers like this, you are out of options.

I kind of like Tarzan's strategy of always voting with the girls. It means he's the final guy, and if he can win the next couple of immunity challenges he can get into the finals. Although with Tarzan.. I really don't see him winning any immunity challenges, or getting any jury votes, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a sound strategy for someone who hasn't had an alliance for a long time now.

I can't see the winner in any other season getting out of, or hell even trying to bring their solid final 3 to a reward. The fact that she not only did it but smoothed it all over with just a quick conversation or two shows you exactly how pathetic the remaining cast it. Even with Troyzan there to point it out as it happens, these mental midgets just keep on being followers. Poorly played and terribly boring television.

The problem with the Tarzan strategy is that it's the Philip strategy: become so valuable to take along that you won't get voted out, but in the process you become so disregarded that you have no chance of winning (unless the other two are just tremendously unlikeable).

If you're just gunning for the top 3, I guess it's solid. But history shows you have virtually no chance to win since you just end up as the goat of the three. The good player took risks, made friends, and gets the most votes. The disliked player probably played a good game but burned too many bridges. All that's left is Philip (or Becky...)

I think some people are happy just to make the final three, because you still get a good amount of money. (When there was a final two, I think it was over $100k for the second-place finisher. Might be the same for third place in a final three.)

Also, I think most people rationalize to themselves that they're playing the best game out there, in some fashion or another. Look at Kat's comments from last night about how she thinks she, and not Kim, is the real leader out there. If they make it to the finals, most people (even, or especially, the delusional ones) think they will be able to persuade the others to vote for them.

Have to applaud Alicia's social game if she still has a job when the season's over. She just compared the 0 IQ Christina to her students in this episode, what a lovely special education teacher she must be.
I saw that. I thought that was terrible. She's been my least favorite character (other than Colton) since Day 1. Not surprised at her saying that at all.

She's a shitty person. And I doubt she works with special needs kids, she probably just put that on there to look nice.

Somebody was talking about this comparison earlier in the thread. It's like a prophecy that they both ended up covered in oil.

Chelsea is prettier, Parvati is sexier. Amanda is marry-potential.

I fell in love with Parv during HvV. Those tight black yoga pants that sit really low, my fucking GOD.

This. I can't believe how, freaking, stupid, those girls and Tarzan are. Do Kat, Tarzan, and Christina really think they'll make it to the final three? I was almost pulling my hair out, gawd =/

The season has been ok. It just has way to many boring people and hardly any real strategy. Honestly, is there anyone on this season that would have any chance of coming back besides Troyzan?

I can't even say it's been OK, as once the racist/bigot left there whole thing has been the Kim show. They should really just all quit at this point and give Kim the money, there's no way anyone's going to turn against her, none of them have the competence to even think about it, and even if they did, by the time they did it would be too late. (And she may just win Immunity up until the end anyways, as she's the strongest competitor left)

I wouldn't mind Kat coming back but that's mainly because we've had a lot of duds post S20. The returning player seasons are really screwing with potential candidates in future all star seasons.

Oh, and this is all kinds of good...

"Ultimate fail, epic fail"? Does she post on Gaf or 4Chan? =/

This has been the most boring season ever for me personally. I think it's the combination of the cast and the same-ness. The show really needs a major re-invisioning but I just don't see them taking the risk. Like somewhere cold but of course they wouldn't get their bikini shots so that'll never fly. I would also like to see fewer challenges and fewer rewards in general with more camera time on camp/strategizing. Maybe multiple immunity winners in some challenges too. Or surprise them, make them vote without tribal council, without notice sometimes.

Start the season without tribes. Every person for themselves. Merge into tribes after a few tribals.

Edit: Chelsea no doubt. Even tho I'm sure she wont look as good at the reunion show.

Not a surprising episode in the least. Troy's only hope was winning the Immunity Idol. The girls, minus Christina now it seems, are locked in their alliance, with Kim being the proverbial head of the serpent(s). It's truly a shame because I feel like some awesome moves could have been made this game. Moves that would have put players like Troy, Christina and and Kat into a more secure final. Unfortunately though, Kim has pulled a sort of Rob and has her tribe all but worshiping her; its more apparent during the reward challenge where the group decision was to trust her with their life I believe, or something similar to that. It seems like we've known who is going to win this game for awhile now, but I think the women turning on each other as they figure out who the bottom is will help re-interest me, and others as well.

And I really feel with a better, more interesting, intelligent and competent group of players, Troy would do much better. Troy has had some great ideas for overthrowing Kim, but the others just seem to dismiss his concerns. Now, I am aware that we are given information from the editors, but even so, I still would think its fairly obvious that Kim is "cash money"; basically she cant lose if she hits the final three. Hell, even Troy brought up the fact that she is smart, and even scarier, likeable. And as we have seen on previous episodes, being likeable will send you home (ie: see Jonas). All the other players must realize Kim is outplaying and outwitting them; well Kat seemed to think she was doing that, but minus her, the others MUST realize how strong she is. Or are they really that foolish to think they are in control? I just cant see how any of the other players would realistically want to take Kim to the final three.

I did like Troy's goodbye to Kat though. If anything, hopefully it causes some drama with other girls wondering why he chose to say that to her. Time will tell I guess.

Also, out of curiosity, has anyone ever submitted an application to be on the show? I have been thinking about it, and while I am sure I don't stand much of a chance, I figured I would still try, for fun. Plus it would be awesome to be on the show and (attempt) make some big moves.

the only thing that could save this season is a season 9 type women's blow up where chris daugherty ended up winning because the women started turning on each other it was great. would love to see that and see Tarzan lol or Kat win.

Christina makes my head hurt, her strategy of not playing the game at all, yet be delusional to think she's not a pawn is sickening. Stop casting these people CBS, it isn't fun at all to watch these stupid people.
