wow talk about bad luck with the tribal switch, orange got totally screwed. as much as people hate colton he actually makes this season entertaining. i find myself oddly cheering for him to see how far he can get.
I actually like Colton (as a game player), he is running whatever tribe he is on and it's hilarious. Then again, I loved Russell and it seems everyone on here hated his guts.
For the moment, his only gameplan seems to be to play everyone against each other and to vote out physical threats. That's about it.Russell was great. He actually had a good mind for what was going on and it was awesome watching him mastermind everything. Colton is just a bigoted idiot, who somehow is controlling both tribes now. It's definitely not by being some master of the game. It's just the rest of the people are idiots. He really seems to have no long term gameplan.

Alicia was a lot easier to manipulate then I thought she would be.
I agree but I'd like to see them try it again in another season. They should take it a step further and not have two tribes but instead have everyone together and have them do a random draw before each competition to determine the tribes for that competition then have them disband again once it was over. It would bring an entirely different level to the show since it would be difficult to have alliances because you wouldn't be able to count on who'd be on your tribe at any given immunity challenge. You do this until it's down to the individual immunity challenges then proceed as normal. So the One World is over already? Makes sense, doubt it would be that interesting on one beach with mixed tribes. Would only enforce the men vs women to continue even in the new tribes.

Russell was a great strategist on paper, but I think his social game was horrendous.
I hear stuff like this and I don't get it. I have gone back and watched Samoa. What did Russell do in the social game that was so bad he shouldn't have won?I think he had a very good social game and couldn't have done anything much different given the circumstances of going into the merge 8-4 down.
He had a bunch of crybabies on the jury.
Colton may be entertaining, but he's spoiled, sheltered and needed everything to go his way. He's not playing a game, he's just being himself. I really hope a guy like that doesn't win. He is filled with so much hatred and negativity.

I agree to an extent about the bitter jury (the whole thing with Brett? was really bad) but his final jury speech was the reverse of what he should have done. A smart social player would have gone full-tilt humility/apology. He should have been couching a lot of his actions in a similar way the whole time.I hear stuff like this and I don't get it. Colton just needs to go already, so annoying and can't believe Jonas thinks he is so smart.
Really feel like they have a whole season of people who have never watched the damn show.
He could have done it without being so toxic.
Russell Hantz is a fucking ass clown. And you want to know why? Because he did that TWICE. played the same game; acted vicious all the way through and expected to win.
didn't deserve any votes.
Getting rid of Monica over Christina doesn't really make much sense to me. Monica might be a bit more of a threat, but they need some tribal strength at the current point.
He was a bully who acted abrasively towards every person, and then went in completely arrogant at the final tribal council and lost almost any votes he could have gotten.
Russell lost, largely, because he didn't understand Survivor at all. He should have never taken people like Natalie or Mick with him to the end when he had Jaison and Shambo as perfect goats. He also didn't understand that you need to be less abrasive. You need people to want to vote for you to win.

What people say after the season, especially after one that's edited so highly in someone's favor, is worthless. There's a reason the vote is on the last day and not in the studio, this isn't american idol and the one with the most airtime isn't the only one playing.
can't believe I'm reading that "russell hantz has a good social game".
The worst social game.
SOCIAL.
look up the meaning of the word. Bullying. Being aggressive to the hilt is what cost him. Especially when the end vote is a jury vote.

The part in bold is THE reason survivor needs to change how it elects it's winners. It seems to be that the jury only picks someone who didn't hurt their feelings. It's been like this for a while now and it is the worst possible way to choose a winner on this show.
Fans should select the winner. We get to see more and get to actually see who put what/which moves into place. But I digress...
This season is good so far. Wish they didn't split the tribes up as I thought the hatred between the men and women was very interesting. It's hilarious that Colten is running the weaker tribe. The guy isn't a genius but he's the only one with a mind for strategy.
How the hell do fans get to see more? It's all edited a certain way. We don't see 99% of what happens on that island. And yes, the jury is full of babies, but that's part of the game. You have to win in a way that will not alienate you from everyone else.
Yep.
If fans were picking the winner, they wouldn't actually be the ones picking the winner; the editors would. And how fun is that?
This is why I have grown to prefer Big Brother. The jury isn't full of butt-hurt people. Often times they actually vote for the deserving winner.
Wow dude, why are you still posting here. Just give Colton a ring and hook up.I'm glad to see so much agreement on Russell. The social aspect is part of the game, and it always has been. So what if the jury was dumb? The truly good player adapts and works with it.
Also glad to see a lot of the rage for Colton has subsided. Dude comes off as a whiny, ignorant prick, but he's hardly History's Greatest Monster™. As far as Survivor villains go, he's pretty toothless. But the way he's able to manipulate two different groups of people is remarkably entertaining.
Read this as a good explanation for why Russell sucks. And then read the rest of the countdown because it's awesome and Mario Lanza is a fantastic comedic writer.
I've been at this site for the last two hours now.
Thanks.

. I'm actually shocked to see people like SecretMoblin still exist, who support racists, their comments or actions. He's still a fucking racist and all the hate towards him is justified
Yep, the producers shouldn't have any contact with the contestants on BB in the diary room.Of course, the problem with the last several seasons of Big Brother is that the producers are the ones choosing the jury.![]()
