Tales of Xillia Day 1 Edition (NA, EU), Collector's Edition (NA, EU) announced

Why do people hate gamestop so much? I agree the store is cringe worthy, but I've never had troubles with the .com site.

Also, why do people hate Jude so much. Is it a spoiler thing?

Amazon is a lot more convenient + free 2 day shipping.

As for Jude, I never minded him.

Sigh, no CE for me either. Shame. Oh well, looks like I'll be keeping my current regular edition pre-order at Amazon since I still have credit to burn.

Gamestop only?

Meeeeeeehhhhhhh.

I'll just get the regular on Amazon.

I'm glad there's no summer drought this year for me. So many JRPGs in so little time.

Unless they said they didn't get enough in. Which has happened for some people in the past.

That's completely awful! Never had any problems with them and CEs before ...

Ok I lied. A clerk accidentally gave away my P4G Solid Gold pre-order to someone with a regular pre-order. But they overnighted a spare copy from their warehouse and let me take home a regular edition so I didn't have to wait to play.

Guess I got lucky that time, then.

Blah, Gamestop exclusive is a bummer. But they're a better choice than Digital River.

I wonder if GameStop will also have an exclusive piece of DLC this time? The offer they had for Graces F was never sold anywhere else.

He's naive and young, and tends to have a one-track mind due to those two traits.

That's about it without getting elaborate. If you find those traits particularly annoying for a lead then he may rub you the wrong way. Personally I didn't hate him, but I can't say I liked him either.

Why is Day 1 not available for NA? Did Vesperia and Graces do better in Europe? So annoying.

And I really hope the costumes are available for regular pre-order but I'm sure they won't be. Better be purchaseable (they won't be).

:(

I hope the Day 1 version comes to the US but... I don't think it will. -_-'''

Or your item gets gutted or arrives to them damaged or whatever...

I never had that much problems with CEs or games with bonus soundtracks with them from Gamestop. Regular copies I did get gutted before though (VLR) and only one CE I got from them was damaged and that was Blazblue Continuum Shift EXTEND CE but then again everyone I knew who got it from other places said theirs was damaged too. So cheaply made.

I wouldn't be so sure. Japan got several different collector's editions of the game, but the regular one still came with the costumes. It's a possibility!

It was a pre-order bonus that's why. And the CE's were store exclusive CE. Not really equatable to the CE versions that the games in the West gets. Store exclusive CEs are rare. Store exclusive content is not. Most likely, the costumes will be reserved for Gamestop preorders. iirc, Graces on Amazon didn't get the costumes. I could be remembering wrong.

Exactly. It will probably be a pre-order bonus for us too.

Went ahead and pre-ordered the CE yesterday.

$25 down is kind of lame

i take it in store you need to give $25 down?
because I sure didn't have to give any money down online, and it clearly said i wouldn't be charged until it ships.

anyways I would have preferred amazon because i get free two day shipping there, and with a release like this it likely would have been free release day shipping, but I can wait the extra week on gamestop using saver shipping. I'll just play dragon's crown until xillia shows up, it solves my problem of which to play first lol.

Just a heads up for my follow Canadians that the Collector's Edition is now up for preorder at ebgames.ca. I'd jump on it quickly if you're interested and don't want to end up having to import it as their exact wording on twitter was: "Tales of Xillia Collector's Edition is now available for preorder! Quantities are VERY limited..."

Having worked at Gamestop full time for 3 years I never saw a damaged CE arrive at our very high volume store. I also never saw a CE of anything gutted unless we got a ton of them in and they weren't selling at all and were price reduced. Of course the manager of my local store and most of his staff are gamers and understand how to treat the merchandise. YMMV.

I'm not saying that shipping errors don't occur but for something as elusive as a North American Tales Collector's Edition I think the miniscule amount of risk is more than worth it. If you have a decent Gamestop store near you then I would think any Tales fan would be running and not walking towards it in order to secure their copy. This is a nice looking CE, folks.

Did my first Pre-Order where I actually put money done since GTA4.... Yeah... I feel dirty. Really fucking dirty.

So I better fucking get this.

Well... iirc they said only 10000 copies for EU. So.... you never know how much they're printing for the US. LOL. It might be more or it might be less.

Logically it'd be something around 25000 copies to account for NA's larger population.

Logically.

Well I went and preordered, but what is up with that $25 down? I never preordered a game that had more then $5 down payment.

Games with a certain pricetag/classification will require a bigger down payment. Though, you can actually refund that pre-order so it doesn't matter really.

I hope they don't overprint. I really do. While I hope this title breaks at least 100k I don't know if it will....

There's a good chance it will break 100k, if not just NA then in total. I expect 40-60k from PAL regions. I am also speaking out my ass.

I was going to pre-order the Collector's Edition until I saw dat Milla Alter figure.

Best combo would be Day One Edition + Milla Alter figure.

That would be close to 200 bucks though.

I'll get a normal pre-order then if the Day One Edition doesn't come to NA.

CE is up on ebgames.ca now, just got an order in. Hope they fill it. I'm gonna go to a store to preorder one too, just in case.
