So anyway, anything about the 100% worth noting?
Do all the sidequests.
That's pretty much the only thing that you can really miss.

"The town with the arena where the arena battles don't matter at all in the long run."Yeah, I rather like the JP names for the towns. Didn't actually expect them to radically change them for the localization.
Guess I'll just go with describing towns based off their features now. (Not that it's a hard thing to do)
Is this one supposed to be カラハ・シャール? It seems close to it. Kinda bummed they ended up removing the '・' from everything, though. Ah well. For name changes, It's Fennmont, Xian Du, Kanbalar, etc etc.

"The town with two screens and it's basically nothing of note. The farmer one."
Getting this and Dragon's Crown the same day is torture, I want to play both at the same time.
skits and end battle conversations were the only things keeping me from killing myself playing graces

Shan Du/Jian Du/Xian Du is the same, but it's nice to see that romanized for consistency.
That makes sense, too. Thanks. I called it Kahn Valk/Balk. カン・バルクNo. If i recall correctly it was khan bark or something like that in JP.
Every Tales game has to have one.So half the towns.
Ever.
No. If i recall correctly it was khan bark or something like that in JP.
Well, yeah, just wondering if anything notable on the missable or point of no return scale. Don't remember Graces having anything but it's been forever.
The starting city is Fennmont now?
No way I can remember two sets of cities names now.

ENG version is also more prone to slowdown than the JP one btw.

I don't remember tales of graces very well, but I remember my favorite part being that the combo strings had different affinities and then depending on what you were fighting you had to change up your combos to do better damage instead of repeating the same thing over and over. Does this have something similar?

What? Really? There was some slowdown in Xillia already, especially if there was too much going on onscreen (which I didn't happily find out with the EX Dungeon). Did you really compare them, or was it really that noticeable? Also, the battle menu takes like a second longer to load than the JP one.
Did you compare them directly?
Xillia 2 does, this doesn't.
That would be strange and horrible. The slowdown was already annoying and too common to begin with.
Yes I did.
I mean, it's not TERRIBLE but it is there and it was noticeable for me between the two versions.
At the same locations? Because as mentioned, it's variable depending on what's going on.
Making me want to pick this up on the spur of the moment and compare them myself, you know.I saw slowdown where I didn't necessarily feel slowdowns before.

Yes, ma'am. It's about time I got back to that. Palate-cleanser.
I finished that POS last night. No Aeana. Schala should be focusing on Tokitowa.
NO.toki towa plat go!
...you saw that 75% on my trophy list, didn't you.Sure, you say that now.
Since she's the main character and she will talk a lot in this game, I don't want to cringe every minute.
It can ruin a game. Arc Rise Fantasia is a really good RPG but the voice acting was so bad it nearly killed it. I endured through it and still enjoyed the game though.
I'm with you there but Xillia is great so I hope you give it a go
It's not really her voice that's super bad but more her delivery. I'm not sure if that's the actress specifically or whoever is directing her but there are lots of very odd pauses and weird ways to deliver specific lines. It doesn't feel natural.

I've not played the Japanese original (as I can only understand bits and bobs) so I can't compare but Milla as a character is a bit all over the place when it comes to skits. It could be the translation though...
Milla's voice isn't the worst in comparison to the rest of the cast. Prepare yourself for high pitched anime girls, annoying zany sidekick(Eliza), and slightly whiney men(Teepo).(Jude)Alvin and Rowen are the most natural and nice sounding characters on the English dub.
The worst thing though is the localisation. I've spotted one or two mistakes already. There are also a few moments where the translation is a bit to literal. Looks good on paper but sounds very strange in conversation.
Though I'm just happy they are bothering to release the Tales of games outside of Japan. I think Namco said Xillia 2 will have dual audio so that should cheer up those who can't stand the English dub.
So if Xillia is like a gum drop. What flavor would it be?

And then you had to talk me out of playing more Ni no Kuni because you couldn't fathom the fact that I was doing the postgame content despite me disliking the game.

Gumdrops are now PS3-exclusive.I guess that means the Tales game after Xillia 2 will also be on PS3.
...did you play it before it was taken offline to get the platinum? Because that would be worse. You know...I recently played through White Knight Chronicles, so I guess I'm not really any better.
