Saw the blog post and read it inbetween DD rounds. Engineer stuff sounds amazing, Pyro stuff sounds cool, but all that he got except the flamethrower needs to be tested before I say they are amazing too.
I knew you were going to respond to this, and my only reply was in the original message. You're always going to have a class that's easier for new players to pick up, and compared to the other classes have it's ease of use for even medium level players be a bit out of whack, but I'm glad that it's Heavy and not any other class, even with the degree of effort:balance he has right now.Problem with heavy isn't just that he's too strong. It's that his strength isn't scaled to player skill. Even a bad heavy (like me) can do well as heavy. I'd argue that Demoman is stronger than Heavy, but it takes a good amount of skill to get to that level. I consider myself an awful heavy, yet when I do play Heavy I generally go 3:1 or better and I usually play with a sub-optimal loadout (shotgun instead of sandvich, GRU that I never actually bother to take out, etc.).
Also, we've had this conversation at least seventy-four times at this point. So I won't bother to reply after this, except with nonsense.
