I thought this was exactly what was going to happen. I guess maybe the writers didn't want to waste time with a revival scene in 5B's premiere? Or maybe they were worried fans would quit the show if the finale pulled a Game of Thrones. It was already a very very dark episode.

I don't really mind the death and instant revival. I'll mind more if 5B doesn't make something of the fact that Theo literally killed Scott, for about 15 minutes anyway. I'd expect the death of a true alpha to have some effect on the world. Or at the very least, to be a defining moment for Scott and the people closest to him.

Poor Theo. All he did was be honest, open and accepting to everyone. He just wanted what was best for everyone. He was tried to get Stiles to understand that Void Stiles wasn't just some weird supernatural mumbo jumbo, but rather the product of some deep seated darkness that's gnawing at Stiles. But what does Stiles do? He throws it in Theo's face and calls him inhuman. I don't think there's a more human character on the show than Theo. He's been hurt, abused by the Dread Doctors and alone for most of his life. Now he only wants acceptance. I'm glad he found it with his Zombie Chimera Murder Pack. It sends a positive message that if you put out a good, helpful and friendly attitude, you'll ultimately get what you need.

And I actually can't wait for that, I'm expecting some of them to flat out refuse to be good (Tracy, Josh) while the others might be able to be convinced (Hayden, Corey) but I don't think it's going to be easy.

He's saying most of the right things there. Sounds like 5A really was a setup season. I'm OK with that if 5B doesn't take too long to get down to business. My main problem is that Scott and Stiles are alienated mostly because of terrible communication, and the writers sound reluctant to fix that immediately.

I'm not sorry Dylan O'Brien will get to show more of his dramatic range though. If Void Stiles does come back, awesome. I want him to be this show's Dark Willow, where he has a sort of manageable flirtation with evil that gives him an interesting internal struggle to deal with, and empowers him to help out the good guys when they're desperate. That would be much better than Stiles becoming a werewolf IMO. I just wish all of this was in service of a storyline that didn't require Scott to act like a lame hypocrite to his best friend. Stiles should have copped to the Donovan situation as soon as it happened, and Scott should have known him better than to think he suddenly turned into a cold blooded killer.

I personally can't think of a better way for Theo's nobility to shine through than for him to lead a freakish pack of murderous chimerical high schoolers. I went through a murderous chimerical high schooler phase myself, and let me tell you, I could have used the emotional support those kids have found in Theo. Life would have been a lot easier if I'd been able to rely on a hunk who could bring me back to life by stabbing me in the neck with chemical juice. A hunk who was totally cool with getting naked and holding intense prolonged conversations while naked. Believe me, I would have had a lot to talk about.

Parrish is cool too, but he's not much of a talker while he's doing his hunky hellhound thing. I don't know, maybe that's a positive thing for some people. I can see the appeal of keeping a stoic, barely clad hunk around the house to pick up all your dead bodies for you. They do tend to pile up. You know how it is.

That doesn't sound all that likely to me. Then again, Jeff Davis hinted that Corey and Hayden will have significant roles in 5B, where Mason and Liam try to sway them away from the dark pack. It's true that Corey and Hayden died the most recently, so I guess the writers could put a Court of Owls spin on that storyline if they want to.

Is Josh the one who got his throat ripped out by Theo? If not, I don't remember him. Supposedly this is his actor, Henry Zaga.

Willow/Void stuff kinda reminds me how in the early seasons they seemed to have been hinting at some sorta witch training for Stiles? I remember him doing prep work and handling mountain ash stuff was always a big deal but now it's just Stiles is smart so he tells Scott how to do a thing until something goes wrong/changes so Scott can be great alpha and improvise.

I really want his character to go in that direction. The smart and funny sidekick with some formidable dark mojo in his pocket. He shouldn't be permanently serious though. Stiles is Stiles.

Theo genuinely upset me last episode, but I still love him. (Lydia though... ;_ The nudity helped. In that sense, at least, Theo is still very helpful.

I was actually worried we wouldn't get to see more of Cody Christian's perfect everything in 5B. So even though Theo is in my naughty book right now, I'm happy he's still intact and in a better position than ever to rival Parrish's hunky grandstanding. Flaunt what you've got you saucy bastards! This is a competition and I expect you to take it seriously.
