Even though the guy kept showing hesitance, talking about not wanting to leave his family behind and such, she still insisted, pushed even, for the guy to do what he did.

It was chilling reading that conversation. Chilling.

I also thought it was some sort of suicide pact until I saw that other thread about her starting a fund after his death. Damn, that is so sickening.

This story breaks my heart. This girl deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her life. We don't need people like her in our society.

In one text, Roy asked Carter: "How was your day?" and Carter answered, "When are you going to do it?" according to Rayburn.

This girl is a psychopath.

The only possible "justification" that I can think of is that she considered herself an armchair therapist and felt that this was the best way to end the pain.

Truly awful. :/

This girl is a psychopath.

Though that line could make that justification, weak as it is, go away.

I think she genuinely thought she was helping him in a misguided, dumb teenage way. I don't know if it's necessarily a better scenario that way, but it's a bit easier to stomach than the kid's girlfriend maliciously trying to kill him...

In no way it's OK to encourage someone else to suicide and she was pushing it by telling him everything would be alright, she would take care of everything he's leaving behind (WTF!) and like the monster he is, nagging him because he said he would do it by hasn't done it (WTF!!)

You don't kick people when they're down, you have to help them up. She didn't just kicked him, but encouraged him to dig his own grave while telling him "This is the thing that you want, and what you have to do".

Of course #WeCanEndSuicide, by getting rid of people who encourage them to do it.

Yes. At one point they both wanted to kill themselves at the same time, genuine or not.
I don't know if I buy that. "Okay, we'll do it together. You go first."

The other thread and article even mentions that, while committing suicide, the boy had second thoughts and got out of the car, and she goaded him back into it. I really think she wanted others to feel sorry for her and give her attention through his death.

If thats true, thats sick as well. Maybe a disorder of some kind.

Buy what? That is what happened. The quote you are using is from his death, a later event.

She very well might have wanted that. They were both mentally sick individuals.

Reading the topic title, I was expecting like the family of the victim uncovering a tweet of a friend telling them to 'kill themself' you know? The thing people sometimes say but don't really mean it, much like 'drop dead.'

The girl in this case however is a psychopath, and really dumb. Did she really think none of the message history would be there? Did she think she was just playing with him and didn't take it serious because it was only an 'online' relationship? It's really unbelievable, she needs some serious help.

I think the "evil" accusations are going to drive this girl to suicide herself, honestly. The whole thing is really sad.

It's like that movie, where a psychiatrist thought he was doing the right thing by trying to make a man out of his patient, saying, "do it, go ahead. pussy" to toughen him up, and the patient just kills himself.

Except in this case, it was basically murder by proxy.

That is just... wow.
I can't imagine what was going through that guy's head getting those messages.

OMG, this is sad. Do you think she did it for the lulz or because she thought it was a viable solution? I don't understand where she was coming from, what the hell man?

I mean, it's hard to pinpoint exactly. From everything I've heard, she genuinely believed to be helping him escape. Not that it really matters in this society.

Jeez, she's showing straight-up sociopath behavior in those texts. The worst part is the guy seemed like he could of been saved if she had given him some encouragement and actual love, but it sounds like she wanted him to kill himself more than he wanted too.

The story is made more sick with the older news article about this: http://www.thesunchronicle.com/news...cle_821a5d5e-be30-11e4-ada1-7b43f5417c27.html

Wow, that's worse than those fake-cancer people.

Actually...

On Sept. 10, 2014, she posted on her Twitter page: “National Suicide Awareness day, I wish more people understood. I love you and miss you everyday Conrad. Help others #WeCanEndSuicide.” She retweeted the link to a suicide prevention hotline on Sept. 21, 2014.

She clearly presented herself as being anti-suicide.

Yeah man, what the actual fuck.

Between this and the reporter shooting, today has been a pretty sucky day.
Gonna watch some old friends episodes to get some happy thoughts.

Damn.

She's taken malicious intent to another level. How sadistic must you be to encourage suicide.

You didn't love him. That's bitch made.

What's really tragic is the boy, being young and naive still sounded afraid for his life and even had a shred of optimism in him (from his texts/tone) He was easily manipulated.

All he needed was a second opinion, a sane friend that told him not to do it, and he could've easily snapped back to reality and out of the evil, psychological grasp of this woman, if he only reached out to another person, a parent, another friend, for second opinion... Poor kid.

That was after he committed suicide.

This almost cleared it up for me, sociapaths get off on the attention given to them, and it seems like she was exploiting her evil actions for personal (to her) gains. What a wretched person, something is wrong with her brain at the very least.

Too many days are shitty news days now.

She literally said JUST DO IT over and over and over again to all his hesitations. Then she saw her opening when he promised he would that night. She said " you promised me now you have too". And he even got out of the car and she talked him back in to it. Should up it to murder

Fucking disgusting. I really hope she's found guilty. She definitely pushed him to do it and caused his death, even if it was with words over physical violence.
