Tekken 7 4K PC Gameplay

I'll always pick consoles for the player base alone.

In the even Sony isn't on-board for cross-play with MS, I hope Namco will just lump PC players in with both console populations, & keep XBL/PSN players segregated. Like how Rocket League does. It's not perfect, but it's still win-win for all parties involved.

this game looks so fucking good

Graphics are actually atrocious. Jarring art-style and bad backgrounds. Tekken is my favourite fighter but that does not look good.

Is it cross play with xbox or ps4? I bought SFV on pc only because you can play with ps4 players. I won't buy any pc fighting games without cross play after MK 10.

Looks solid. I'm surprised its getting a PC release. Have they confirmed crazy CG cutscenes for arcade mode? Man I hate the way 60FPS looks in video format though.

If we haven't heard about it now, then I doubt it'll happen.

Namco always made graphically impressive fighting games. Will Day 1 for sure like I did TTT2 even though I'm horrible and barely played it. PC too

Has namco learned how to write netcode since tekken 6? That shit was atrocious at launch, made me sell it quick.

It would be better to have a higher bitrate download of this - seems like's not doing so well with the Youtube compression at 4k.

Tag 2 netcode was good. Namco confirmed that T7 netcode is an improved version of Tag 2's netcode. It's good enough for arcade version to have an online mode and all lol

You also need Dantarion's utility for arcade stick support

https://github.com/dantarion/SF5DInput

I tend to forget about that one since I just used an old 360 stick I had laying around instead.

Soulcalibur V's netcode was excellent as was TTT2's. (Minus the annoying PSN disconnect rather than ever recover sync issue). They've learned.

I am just hoping they can announce cross platform for this game ASAP. Honestly, it's the feature I want the most

Yea it needs it , fighting games on pc dont have the biggest fan base.

this game looks amazing in 4k , i ofc only have a 1080p monitor but gd

These are captures from YouTube video. Every single publisher and their mothers should re-encode/resample their videos and trailers at 4K@60fps, whether they're running at that resolution or not. If they're interested in showing their $100 million productions in the best light possible, that is. The upgrade in bitrate and video quality is absolutely massive.

The chromatic aberration is doing my eyes in, I'm gonna skip the ps4 version if the pc lets me turn it off.

Hoping Tekken 7 on PC won't be the complete cluster fuck of SFV and actually have reasonable performance unlike MKX. Been huge fans of SF and MK since 2 and 1 respectively, but let down with the latest efforts. Not played Tekken before properly, but well up for the change and the different play style than I'm used to with SF and MK

The arcade version runs on a windows system.

They'd have to try really hard to fuck it up.

They have slow motion super move now? It really interrupts the gameflow.

If it happens, and you get caught throwing a move out, then the outcome has already been decided. If you are neutral, you just gotta wait it out and punish. It would actually give you a half a second to think about your next move really, if the hits don't connect. Pokken Tournament has both an entire game mechanic involving slowing/stopping the fight and super moves that essentially stop time and they work out just fine.

Even if it is, it shouldn't even be so comparable.

You're comparing 1080p YT to 4k YT. Not the same thing, but alright. GIF made you feel good eh?

Okay, I see what you meant, but I'm not sure what your point was then.

And while a direct feed capture of Tekken 7 on PS4 could look cleaner and with no compression artifacts, it would probably also look jaggier than the image quality provided by footage of a game captured at 4K, like this video.

Fact is that YT's bitrate for 4K is honestly really good, over 20mbps. In motion it almost looks like the real deal.

Just watched this in 4K. I'm amazed that I can read the signs and see the people in the background on the rooftop stage which I never could before.

Can't wait for the PC release.

Resolution wise this looks good. But, I don't think it looks good overall. Why haven't fighting games made the graphical leap from last gen to this generation? I guess was expecting fighting games to look more like the UFC games. They just still look very plastic to me with horrible anime style hair...

4K Youtube looks worse than proper native 1080p feed.

It's really simple comparing the YT 4k bitrate with whatever you find proper. If it's "proper", then it won't be on YouTube so it's a moot point considering most people will just end up looking for YT mirrors.

That is their designs, 'anime style hair' is not going to change just because the graphics get better.

Also, your comparing UFC, which is intended to be super realistic and show muscles and shit deforming slowly, to this kind of fighting game, which is only interested in the specific gameplay arc its always had?

I get that. But, what gameplay arc? Tekken is more of a "realistic"( use that loosely) fighting game with real martial arts styles. The models in Tekken have always been less on the anime style compared to other fighting games. If you look at them in Tekken 7 besides the hair they're very realistic IMO. It's just the textures are still very shiny and plastic looking. Maybe if we get new Virtua Fighter I guess...

Edit: Doomshine I forgot the UFC games are running 30fps. So that answers my question thanks. Tekken 7 still looks better than Killer Instinct...

Its not a realistic game with all that bound and rage art and projectile spamming. And yeah, 30fps will make a difference in how much you can render on screen
