I mean her actual decent damage combos are harder than some other characters. Usually a couple directional inputs and a harrier cancel. I don't think she is as beginner friendly as advertized, maybe mash friendly.

Her most basic stuff is super simple. Just mashing 4 is completely fine to start with if you're a complete beginner. Also what ideal juggles does she have that are hard?

The harrier cancels are pretty easy though. Just holding down forward will automatically lead to a harrier cancel, even if the button//string can also continue further with button presses.
It just takes practice to get consistent at. Try taking it one step a a time.
Some of the enders after tail spin are pretty tricky.You have to dash because they're far.
Though I suppose thats something every character has to struggle with.

I had the same initial problem with juggle combos in this game that I had with long combos in KoF XIV.
The game is actually a lot more lenient with the timings than I expected and that I was trying to do them too fast.

The game looks amazing on Pro. I think the IQ isn't optimal on regular Ps4. Its 900p there and its supposed to look washed out on certain stages.
If you launched at tip range it can be difficult.

Yeah I started to like Akuma too after playing the story mode. Awkward at first but really powerful and tight once you start learning some good moves, forces you to play in a controlled way.

For me, she has so many similar looking moves that cancel into her stance that I get mixed up and drop the combo sometimes.
For a new player I could imagine that being a learning curve.

She just has a strange difficulty curve I think.
At the lowest level all the 1,1 2,2 4,4,4,4 are fun to mash with friends.
On the next level you get okay results by ending your juggles with 2,2 then harrier+4.
Then BAM the difficulty spikes and you have to be on top of things like pressing 444 instead of 4444, cancel one direction into forward to harrier, with not so lenient timing and also dashes.
Want to give me some specific juggles?
Also you can just your adjust your tailspin ender if you're too far to hit things consistently. You should be adapting anyway.
Like I said, it's more memory than actually doing it. It's pretty lenient.

For example of you launch at the tip with ws+2 with katarina.
Or ch df+4 at max range.CH 4.

You can do ff 4 after a CH df4 and continue the combo from that the range is so high on that move it's darn near impossible to not hit it.

I keep reading about 15 second load times but I'm getting 30 second load times. I'm running the game on an external drive on the xbox, should I move it to my internal drive? I don't have any load time issues for any other external games.

Only got to play for a little bit last night. Getting back on this evening. I haven't' touched Online or story. Just practice. I wanna be fire before I challenge real people... (or at least better than shit, which I am now). Still haven't found my character yet, either. Katarina looks interesting. She ain't no Zafina tho'

I feel cheated by the story mode.
I'm a Tekken noob and need some advice in defensive play you guys.
I'm having a real hard time even blockning attacks. Compaired to SF the level-switching combos are so fast and frequent that i get hit on almost every try even with my arcade stick. And at the same time I'm meeting people online that blocks combos like its the easiest thing.
Any advice on how to get the blockning timing down? And maybe when to sidestep and when to block wich i also find confusing.

Max is still going at that
10 star boss fight 405+ losses so far.

Also are there any tips on how to get consistent at throw breaking besides look at the arms?
Blocking is in a way, the opposite of street fighter. In SF, you always block low and expect throws and only block high if the situation calls for it. In Tekken, you always block high and expect throws and only block low if the situation calls for it/you think they're going to go low. The benefit of crouching is that you can duck under throws which is cool but it's still too risky to crouch guard too much. Standing guard should be the default position for you.
For now, I wouldn't worry too much about sidestepping. Just get comfortable with general blocking. Then move on to throws. After you've "mastered" both those things, THEN move onto sidestepping.
Remember that not all parts of a string combo. Even if you got hit by the first 2 jabs, you can block that kick launcher that they can do afterwards so don't take your hands off the stick just because you got hit. Some of that stuff can even be punished if you manage to block it!

I've been watching the stream for a while, it's been incredible, especially him taking on that boss. I think there's a few more afterwards too, the build up was such a struggle but damn it's paying off massively.
Totally depends on the low. ws+4 if it's a poke. If it's a sweeping low/they stumble, you should absolutely launch. Not sure what her fastest crouching launcher is, I think ws+2?

Btw, I can see myself improving a lot at the moment. Using two different launchers, two different combos to mix up, an orbital and a followup, power crush, quick jabs. I feel I have some different tools to use now. Not that I am any good at all, but I can apply some of these things in online matches now. At least after I've spent the last 3 hours in Practice mode today.
