Tekken |OT| of Tag Assaulting the Devil, Ogres, Wild Animals & MILFs (Bitcap Warning)

It juggles on normal hit still.
Excellent! I was just imagining that then, lol.

No way. I don't think they are hard to fight against. You just have to learn their holes. I like fighting vs Nina/Anna. I don't find them as scary as say, Mishimas or Lars. No where close.

You just have to know when to punish, when to duck, when to sidestep etc.
Since I already use both of them, I can't really tell how hard they might be for others to play against. Whenever I face Nina or Anna players, I don't usually get too frustrated. But again, I am biased, though, since I already know a lot of their strategy. Although, I have to say that they both do have a LOT of options and really excellent mixup games.

I mostly get irritated with Lars or Bob players. Both were introduced in T6 and both are crazy annoying to play against.

Do you play online Markman?

I will have to watch this later.

You guys gotta help us who aren't champions as well lol, what is B!/TA? I know B! Is Bound.

When I launch an opponent up in the air I can't seem to juggle them ugh, you guys just remember those combos?

Also this:

u/f+3~4
f,f+3+4,2

When something is +, it means press both buttons at the same time? And when it's ~, it means a delayed input? Or press 3 then quickly after press 4?

TA wasn't in 6 so I'm guessing it's Tag Assault when you bound and let your second character in for a combo and switch back to your first.

~ is quickly one after another.

Edit:
I'm dying again. xD

B! = bound
TA! = Tag Assault; or hitting tag during the bound move to let your partner do a filler attack

+ is both buttons
~ is in succession, most moves require sliding but a lot have leniency.

I don't play online. I can't stand playing T6 online, it makes me play stupid because you can't react to thinks like normally.

Also regarding V.S. Williams, it helps that one of the best American Nina/Anna players of all time lives in San Diego and plays with my group pretty often. If you want to see some of his beastly Nina play from previous games, look up "Ace R." on YouTube... Like watch these matches here, lol:

Yo MarkMan!

- How much damage does Heihachi's d/b+2 do now? It looks insanely strong now.

- Armor King has a new ground throw (don't know the notation) but it just picks the guy up and pushes them forward like Steve's wall push. Does it have anything guaranteed afterward or just + frames? What if it's by a wall, does he get free b+1,2 at least there or a jab like Steve does?

I don't know the exact damage, but it's a lot more now. Also, it's slower now as well. It's a good trade off. But what really makes it better now is Heihachi's other moves that compliment it. WS+1 for example. Ouch.

I don't think AK gets anything free off the floor pick up.

Yeah, depends on how bad it is but lag can pretty much mess everything up. Not at all like playing local matches.

Has there been any word on TTT2's training mode?
As in making it suck less?

Maybe Sega owns patents on stuff but T6's training mode is pretty ass. They have demo movies for combos but they don't show the commands, there's no simple command test for learning the moves. It's pretty frustrating because even though my monitor is about two feet from my TV it still sucks looking away just to check stuff.

Maybe I should just get a stack of post-it notes and slap them around my TV.

I felt like in Practice Mode the sample combo commands were not included because they wanted to player to learn combos on their own (hopefully not).

I was always annoyed that the CPU in Pratice mode would never use a Bound combo.

Thanks for the answers to what the it all means. :)
I'm gonna go read the OP again, it's that awesome.

New tweets from Harada, nothing special:

I'll reveal TEKKEN TUNES mode&Online Team feature first. And I'm planning new more unique free DLC. RT@LandscapeManX

I didn't say"2 more". I said "2 types". Not only 2 more characters. RT@TagTekken http://www.siliconera.com/2012/07/1...-two-more-tekken-tag-tournament-2-characters/ … Whens the big reveal harada san! :D

I know I'm no markman but...

-on open ground, it depends on what grounded position your opponent was... If it's on KND and FCD, nothing's free. But on PLD and SLD, you get a free f+2 1 (since it picks up on BT.)

-as a wallpush, it give +12. Yeah, Free b+1 2.

-ff+3 and his choke sleeper starter (cd 1+4_2+3) knocks down on SLD position (it a ff+3 buff). and it's free GT attempt. Pick-up GT will still do damage...

BTW, the notation is db+2+4. 2 break. The damage GT is still there (db+1+3, 1 break).

I like the training mode, lol. A LOT better than Capcom titles IMO even if we don't have a recording function.....yet.

It would be nice if they showed the commands for the sample combos but I don't think it's too big of a problem. When I play with a new character, I go through the entire command list and learn/memorize the moves that I know will be useful. Then, the sample combos help somewhat but mostly all of the time, there will be ways for you to do even more damage then what the sample combos offer. That's where your own creativity/experimenting comes to play. Or if you're not that type of a person, you can go to youtube and look up combos.

in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, here is King's new TTT2 launcher, "Atlas Hammer"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2oY6GOt-Dc

let's watch it matrix-dodge a jab

I look forward to some completely fair gameplay with you all

I'm actually very happy about this. King definitely needed another launcher.

I wish King's d+1+2 was good. It's really punishable :( and it has nowhere near the evasion as depicted in the old test video you linked.

However. It's fun to land :D

And you can tag buffer it !

But I thought they add a bit of a pushback for it? Well, even with pushbach, steve SF can still punish it... :(

Anyway, we're not gonna use it much... hopknee and FC df+2 is really good still and tag-launcher or not, it's king you want juggling everytime...

-------

I'm still not understanding by what Harada means by types. How many other characters are there?

Rumors are there's 14 total, so... 6 more probably...

Hey guys! I have a quick question about the backdash cancel...

I've been practicing my backdash cancel with Lars for quite some time now, but I still haven't made any progress. ): In general, my BDC is decent with other characters (Alisa, Jack-6, Hwoarang), but with Lars I can hardly get any movement. I've been going off the tutorials that AAK posted a few months back so I know for sure that I'm getting the right information. I'm assuming that I may be doing it too slow?

Any input would be greatly appreciated! :)

You want to tag buffer it for that red damage !!!! Unrecoverable health!

That's why I love King's FC d/f+2~5, you can really make them hurt.

I will be entering TOUGEKI last chance qualifiers for TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 Unlimited at the actual SBO/Tougeki event.

It's a 2V2 event!

Huh that's interesting, so when you pick Lars your back dash cancelling suddenly stops working? Guy is pretty mobile so I can't say I get this issue but how about this, how fast are you inputting the d/b during the bdc? The goal is to minimize the character's 'ducking' animation as much as possible so can you get this d/b, b, d/b, b, d/b, b rhythm going. Try bb, qcb, bb, qcb maybe?

Why do you get to have all the fun. :( Decided on the partner yet?

It is like that. Sample combos use various cancel techniques and moves not in command list.

Yeah. I wonder if Tag2 command list has all the moves or like T6 about 85%.

MarkMan, do you know?

I tried inputting the bdc at a faster rate, but still didn't see much of a difference. I think I may doing the input incorrectly. Do you know what the input display feature in Practice Mode should be showing when I do the bdc correctly?

There is no "correct" way of doing it. In the end the defining limitation is how quickly by the frame you cancel the backdash and transition into the following backdash. It's all about getting the right input down. I mean, some people come up with some insane tricks on doing them, for example check this one out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7to1bocXFDw

I tried it myself and I couldn't do it just because in the end you still have to be precise about the inputs. but hence you get the idea. Hope I answered your question :)

Yes, my brother or Justin Wong lol.

Get kayo to be your partner.

What is the default layout on a 6-8 button arcade stick for Tekken, anyway? I've only ever played it with a Dualshock.

Is it this?
Code:
1,2,T,-
3,4,-,-
T is "Tag", don't know if it has a proper name in Tekken lingo. I remember 1, 2, 3, and 4, though. (LP, RP, LK, RK, respectively, right?)

That pretty much nails it. That's how the arcade setup is. On the controller you use a shoulder button which feel really awkward.

Oh ok. I'll just start from scratch and see what works best for me. I can only imagine the struggle it'll be to learn this on the 2P side. That side seems to always be significantly harder for me. :|

Again, thanks for the input everyone! :)

Watching Anna combo and match vids. Then it's ghost-battling like three mothers until I'm confident I can pull off a quarter-decent combo even in high-pressure situations. Seems like whenever I go into rage it's like I may as well lose the round.

Alex should be one of Anna's special-partners.
I just remembered that shitty Tekken anime where an Alex-clone eats her.

Seriously Anna just seems to get mis-treated. For one her entire storyline involves her asshat sister.

Tekken wiki regarding Tekken 1 said:
Anna has no ending even though she makes a cameo in Nina William's ending. She burst into the kitchen, accusing her sister of stealing one of her high heels. In anger Nina slaps her and Anna turns her back sobbing.

While her back is turned Nina reveals that she had the shoe the whole time.

What a bitch! I don't understand how anyone can like Nina aside from how high she usually is in the tiers.

Also this scene. I mean really now this is just plain awful.

Apparently she dislikes Lars. It isn't explained why but I think I can understand. Fuck Lars.

Lars > Anna

He's a doof with a shitty haircut and a fucked-up cape. If he was the star of a JRPG the jokes would go for decades.

Anna
defeats Nina in the end of Blood Vengeance if that counts for anything :p

Still not reason enough to watch Blood Vengeance

Goddamn customization is stupid sometimes. It costs 800,000 bucks for somebody to take their gloves off. Holy shit. That's like...800,000 matches.

Are you talking about Tekkken 6? Because 800,000 is not hard to get.

Well sure it's not hard to get........if you play Scenario Campaign...ick.
That's not the point though. You're expected to pay XXX,XXX amount of Gdollars just for somebody to take something off or to move say their glasses from their eyes to on top of their head.
It's stupid-dumb.
