The boss of MI5 Sir Ken McCallum today warned the threat of another terror attack in the UK remained 'substantial'.

At his annual 'threat assessment' speech in London today, Sir Ken McCallum revealed his agency had recorded a 35 per cent increase in the number of individuals under investigation in the last year compared to the year before.

He also said MI5 had 'tracked more than 20 potentially-lethal Iran-back plots' this year. Since 2020, the agency had 'disrupted' 19 'late stage' attack plots, he said.

It's not the club that made that decision, it's a safety regulator that decided it would not be safe travelling Maccabi Tel Aviv fans to attend the game. It has less to do with the abuse they'd receive within the stadium and more to do with what could happen to fans outside the stadium. Which the Police would not be able to entirely control. Aston Villa is located in Birmingham btw.

Maccabi Tel Aviv has a big hooligan following. They've already caused problems in the Netherlands and Greece. Banning their fans from attending away matches makes perfect sense.
This isn't an attack on Jews, it's a punishment for those idiotic supporters.

Football violence in the UK is less than it used to be but Birmingham does still have a minority of fans who organize violence especially when the two teams based in the city play each other. Police in the city must be are aware that there is a risk here.

Pretty sure if a bunch of Israelis showed up to a soccer game and then proceeded to pummel the anti-semitic and largely immigrant "other side" after the game, the UK army would be told to side with the 'refugees". Those guys (the immigrants) are so used to being able to bully and physically (and sexually) assault whomever they want i suspect it would take the UK army to save them from the righteous beat down they deserve if they start shit.

yeah, who would the police protect in such situation?

In theory they should make sure the whole situation doesn't escalate.

In theory they would resurrect the prision ship/hulk concept and stuff them full of these criminal basterds. But the UK clearly has no interest in cleaning up that population and forcing them to conform to common decency, so it is what it is. They have likely hit the tipping point anyway, the point of no return where the Islamic population will start aggressively removing the non-islamic group, like they do in every country they get a sizable minority in.

People arrested for posting a fuck Hamas meme, but you can get oxygen thiefs like this saying all sorts of horrid things. It's not just a one off either. It's been going on for years across many mosques. Loads of muslims sat there listening to this sort of stuff. I don't want people like that in England. It's at odds with everything I believe in. He needs deporting.
 
For the Americans in this thread you have to understand that the current Labour government did not run on a manifesto of digital IDs, 2-tier policing, Islamic blasphemy laws, hate marches on the streets, being arrested for posting memes etc.

They ran on a paper thin manifesto and won their majority because people were sick of successive Tory governments ignoring their pledges, and Labour are the de facto second party in the UK.

Time is a great healer, and people seem to have forgotten what a party of whack jobs these are. They last were in power in 2010, and used to be the party of the unions and the working man, but the intervening years have not been kind to them as they've become entrenched in far left ideology, identity politics and a drive for an even larger authoritarian state. You look at the cabinet, and you have idiots like Lammy at the top level, who didn't even have the foresight when he was a shadow minister not to insult the US government, when he would one day end up working with them.

Farage is coming. And I suspect that if the Labour gov. continues to actively and passively destroy this country the public will demand much more than the number of deportations promised.

We need our Trump moment. We need law and order.
