Please be good cause I wanna buy one of these as my next car. All I need now is a supercharger station closer by.

I love the Model S but do not like the Model X. I'll wait to see what Modrl 3 looks like, but if it's more S than X I'll probably put a deposit down,

I will be surprised if it's out in 2018, though, and by the time it is out there should be plenty of 200+ mile range EV competition -- Chevy Bolt should arrive around that time, VW may have a 200 mile Golf EV, and Nissan's 200 mile Leaf might be out. Model 3 will have to be special to stand out.

So besides not having the amazing performance, what else will be different between this and the Model S?

And wtf is up with the I-80 corridor that runs from NYC to PA's west boarder being completely empty of Super Chargers? You could make it through Montana with no problem but you couldn't even make it form NYC to Pittsburgh without having to stop overnight somewhere to charge if you can only get 350 miles per charge.

Thing is all the other cars you mentioned look like something a greenpeace/peta goofball hippie would drive.

I won't buy any of the competitor EV models because of how ridiculous they look. I like the electric battery and the technological part of it but no way I want to be seen driving those. Hopefully Model 3 will be closer to S in design.

I just looked at the Tesla for the first time and instantly fell in love. The model 6 is beautiful. Wish I had 80 grand sitting around lol

I dunno, I don't want to wait until (let's be honest) 2018 for their car to replace my 08 Mazda3.

I love cars, and my job involves a lot of driving, and yeah MPGs are heavily factoring into my car purchase next year, but that also means I want something that I'll love to drive. None of the other EV cars are close to being attractive or fun.

Unless it blows me away, I'm thinking the diesel Jaguar XE, thats getting 60mpgs in Europe, they're bringing next year might be first choice (I've saved a ton of money to be able to get a 50k car). Hopefully they pull something off that even overcomes my impatient ass.

Great to see the $35K price confirmed by Elon Musk himself. I know that he's thrown that figure around in interviews/conference calls as sort of a target/goal in the past, but wasn't sure if they were going to reach that mark.

The golf isn't half bad looking honestly. I like hatchbacks. I mean I want my next car to be a luxury sedan but it's not a necessity.

The Golf has always been a nice looking car, especially the GTI. Honestly, I like the Leaf as well. I've been in one before and thought it was a great ride. However, I'm really hoping the Model 3 retains that sexy, sporty feel.

The Golf doesn't belong in that group. Classic.

If they can get a car for 35k or under that can do 200 miles or more, I think they'll make a killing.

The BMW i3 is nice but it's a little too funky for most people and they included a "range extender" but should have made a model that could run on gas as a last resort ala the Volt.

I understand the desire for electric cars but you can buy new standard fuel cars with incredible efficiency with the convenience. I think electric cars face a very tough battle against these new cars.

Yeah if gas stays cheap. How long do you expect that to last?

A tesla battery replacement is $12,000. How is that cheaper then a new engine?

That's the whole point of the Giga factory and the reason Model 3 comes out AFTER Giga factory comes on line. Model 3's battery pack won't be 85KWh, and it won't cost $12K.

got this pegged as my next car also. hoping this doesn't look awful and based on tesla's record, it should be quite something...
