I strongly recommend a good Micro Four Thirds camera if it's in your budget. I bought one of the first Sony ones a couple years ago, and I'm about to upgrade to the NEX-7. MFT is a new-ish 'standard' that gives you roughly DSLR quality (same sensor size), but without having to get into photography just to use the damn thing. But if you do decide to take an interest, there are a bunch of manual controls your can play with and you can swap out the lenses. Also, they shoot great video too.Did the site ever do a big camera roundup / reviews?
Wife wants us to purchase a "nice" camera this year, I don't know anything about them. Figure I would start with Tested, but I only see forum topics, no posts..
