its amazes me how ''fans'' are accepting the change of the lore so easily and if you start asking questions you get banned on the subreddit

I asked how did ciri survived the trials and one answer was '' The new type of trials are better BOOM , theres your answer''

this is the kind of writing we can expect ? are today's gamers that easily entertained ?

Yes. When we were young we used to take ages to figure out how to solve puzzles in games, explore labyrinth-like level designs and understand some complicated af story/writting. Modern gamers have no patience for those anymore hence why companies had to adapt to the low iq masses.

Most of the fans didnt read books, they dont understand that becoming witcher and whole transformation is exclusive for young boys only, and 9 out of 10 of them die anyways and the ones who survive are exactly that- transformed mutants, no idea how the devs/game story gonna explain female elf in her 20s(Ciri) being eligible for it, it definitely is against lore of the books and the game.

Geralt is/was an exception too compared to other witchers, his transformation wasnt 100% complete, he somehow kept some of his humanity/feelings and wasnt as robotic as ur normal standard witcher.

Another problem is- as a Geralt(or other male witcher, all of them are male) when u romance(aka pump and dump) women u dominate them, Ciri cant really dominate, she is woman herself, she gets dominated, so dunno how the sex scenes/all the romancing gonna be pictured.
Geralt was witty and charismatic, didnt see any of that in Ciri so far, hopefully she isnt just "strong independand boss babe" like all western devs promote in their games.

Going to be a cool journey to see Ciri as a witcher (also works with my TW3 ending). Excited about the combat options that Ciri will bring to the normal Witcher arsenal.

Hopefully CDPR can balance out the feeling of Ciri being all powerful while also fighting lowly bandits/monsters.

People are noticing certain things about CDPR:
- Cringe trans pandering in CP2077
- DLC was completely soft with a million girl bosses and lost the edge the excellent main game still had

- Company heavily embraces DEI

Almost seems like a pattern but of course only crazy chuds would notice.
this is a fucking Cyberpunk game, every concept of good values and morality does not fit in a cyberpunk game, trans, fembots, boss woman, shaved woman, overly feminine man, all of this makes perfectly sense in a Cyberpunk world.

the problem is ppl getting angry that Ciri survived the ToG, because she is a woman, ppl needs to chill out, i dont like DEI in games when it dosnt make sense, but this "oh look its a woman, a black man, a gay person, so its woke agenda" narrative is getting tiresome.

NOW, if u have shit like transgenderism in a medieval universe like they did with DAV i m out, but, we know nothing about the game, we just know that Ciri is the MC and we can see ppl calling the game woke just cause of that, you guys needs to chill a little bit.

I'm keeping it simple. The ending of the third game pretty much showed this. Throughout the third game is was hinting at this. So this is what I would expect. No surprise. Nothing to be offended by. If it doesn't follow the books, a lot of media(meaning games/movies adapted) don't.

Not sure what else to tell you.

Ok? This comment has nothing to do with what I said.

The devs already stated that you will experience Ciri taking the Trial of Grasses in the game. So you'll get your answer when the game comes out.

Everyone was cool when CDPR handwaved Geralt and Yennefer's death in the books in order to make games that served as sequels. Everyone was cool that one of the greatest and most legendary Witchers in the setting's history, was Level 1 and fighting Drowners in The Witcher 3.

But one of the most powerful beings to walk the land taking the Trial of Grasses? Balderdash gentleman! I say balderdash!

Ciri is way too powerful to be the central combat character. I would not be surprised if she has to, at some point, go get Geralt out of retirement.

I agree with this, but just to add a small correction...there's a whole side quest that includes a trans person in TW3. Honestly, every time I see a new game announced with a female lead I immediately load up GAF just to see people absolutely lose their shit because of it (with the mandatory "I'm not losing my shit, I don't care" followed by a 180 word paragraph about how a jawline should look like on a woman, just screams "I have not been laid in a while.").

imo it wasn't even about "trans" person, it was more about a transvestite ( we dont use this word anymore, is offensive to the snowflakes out there ), they exists since the dawn of this world and some of them arent even gay, but i yeah, i agree with you on GAF losing their shit every time a woman is the mc in anything.

Maybe they'll explain it in this game.

One question: have you played and completed The Witcher 3?

Mystery solved. New actress Ciara Berkeley is playing Ciri. Like all modern games they model the in game model from the actress. But also like many modern games, they seem to have butchered it.

Honestly, on this one, I'm just not seeing the problem. The Ciri character model looks okay to me.

Sesame Street Idk GIF
Not seeing the problem either, honestly. All the trailers for TW3 made Geralt look different from his in-game character as well. It was a big nothingburger.

The launch cinematic for TW3:

Looks like someone cosplaying as Geralt. Did anyone really give a shit about that? I guarantee it was a non-issue.
