Thank you developer for this gameplay! Mention a game's gameplay and tell us why do you like it so much

Recently I've played Batman Arkham Knight, on Series X, and once I had realized how the gameplay functions, in different situations, it translates so beautifully from one thing to another. How beautiful it is to explore the city then suddenly translate to combat gameplay, getting into Batmobile...

What it is for you?

Phasmophobia, death stranding, gta/rdr, outer wilds, animal well, talos principle... the list goes on

Whats the reason, well they are different, unique from the regular slop.

I've been playing Nine Sols on my Steam Deck and, I gotta say it does a fantastic job balancing high difficulty while still being entertaining. A lot of devs that take inspiration from FromSoft struggle with making the game challenging without being annoying but I haven't ran into any of that with Nine Sols. It's also nice to play something that directly takes influence from Sekiro rather than the Soulsborne side of things.

They also do a great job with the metroidvania aspects of the game. They're mostly there as a vehicle for the story, never overstaying their welcome or distracting from the excellent combat. Hoping with the console release the game gets some GOTY hype it rightfully deserves.

Thank you CpaGod for making RE4 and essentially paving the way for the modern action game genre forward.

Thank you Hashino for introducing Press Turn, because for me its best turn based combat system.

Its nappy and strategic without being overly complex.

God of war 3. More specifically the final boss fight, just an excellent gameplay highlight. Honorable mention to the stranger boss fight in God of war 2018, it is still the best superhero fight in a game, imo.

The Godfather game

The hand-to-hand combat was amazing. It was so satisfying. It was so fun to use the analog sticks to punch and how you could grab enemies and throw them. Somebody needs to copy it and use it again.

I'll talk about a few features within the gameplay:

- Far Cry healing animations.
- Astrobot's use of the Dual Sense.
- Tekken's 4 button layout for each limb.
- Driveclub's weather.
- Assassin Creed's historical worlds.
- Killzone 2's ragdoll physics and AI on Elite.
- Forza Horizon's atmosphere.
- Uncharted's or Drake's relationships with people.
- Ace Combat's mix of Arcade/Simulation gameplay.
- Battlefield's absolute land, air and sea assault.
- Batman Arkham games fluid mob fighting system is now in many games.
- Resident Evil 4 behind the shoulder camera was genius.
- God of War not breaking camera angle even once.
- Metal Gear Solid crazy story.
- Prince of Persia's rewind time.
- Shadow of the Collossus empty world.

I probably have more that are eluding me.

I thought the batmobile gameplay was extremely clever in Arkham Knight. Didn't care so much for traversing the map but the combat and puzzles were very fun.

Thank you Kojima for making the best character movement animations and controls ever made in a videogame. Nothing beats MGS5

Thank you Revolution Software for being the only developer in adventure games to carefully think of logical puzzles.
The recent remake of Broken Sword 1 really made me realise just how well thought out they really are.

I would like to thank Vigil for creating Darksiders. It is very creative atmospheric and absorbing game with a great setting, storyline and progression.

Thank you Shift up for Stellar Blade for the very good combat and gameplay, excellent level design, interesting story and lore, and beautiful graphics. The combat is superb, a hybrid, a mix of Sekiro and Soul game with devil may cry and bayonetta fluidity. Can't wait for the sequel and DLC.

Arkham Knight's batmobile is awesome. It's obvious RS put a ton of work into it and how it controlled, the tank mode, the different challenges, how it integrates with the game. "Durrr da batmobile sucks" is the most low tier take you can make about that game.

Thank you, Bethesda, for the atmosphere in Fallout 4. It felt like an existing post apocalyptic world.

Thank you, Konami for ISS 98, PES 3, 4, 5, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2016 and 2021. It was a real soccer simulator.

Thank you, Dice, for Battlefield Bad Company 2. I still remember every inch of the game.

I don't think it sucks. I think it's terrible and it ruins the entire game.

There is nothing Batman about the tank battles. They are terrible and are overused. Plus, I found the general tank combat boring and extremely repetitive.

"Durrr da batmobile is awesome" is the most low tier take you can make about that game.

The Last Guardian

The creature was intentionally made hesitant and difficult to command early in the game. As the game progresses, it becomes more obedient and has an awesome breakthrough moment where it overcomes its fears to rescue you.

Had the chance to thank Takashi Tokita in person for his games. I hope I can do the same with Sakaguchi some day. Thank you for Final Fantasy and it's JRPG legacy.

Thank you Square Enix for making FFVII Rebirth the best action RPG combat system to date.
Also thanks KH3 for having the best aerial combat to date
And Tears of the Kingdom for having the best open world interactivity to date.

Count me in for giving thanks to Square Enix. The combat in FFVII Rebirth is perfection.
And it will be better in the third part, insane.

If this were Reddit, I'd get endless downvotes for this….BioWare.

I've liked the gameplay/Combat in ME1-3 and Andromeda, Dragon Age 1, 2 and Inquisition and Anthem (endgame sucked, but flying around, shooting and the powers were fun AF). Anthem aside, also love dialogue trees and some choice, even if it mostly just effects quest outcomes rather than overall plot.

They're a shadow of what they used to be as whole, but mostly from a big drop off in writing and story quality, rather than gameplay/combat for me personally.
