As a non-american I find it strange how intertwined the gov and Christianity still is. An atheist president that wouldn't say "God bless the USA" would make such a big scandal.

I'm Canadian, and I'm Catholic (not the most devout, but I'll hold onto my own beliefs), and yeah, it's really, really dumb how there isn't a true separation of Christianity and the government. It's insulting to other faiths, and those who opt not to have faith.

Just another way to exclude people ultimately, and it's disgusting... Much like this whole inauguration, but that's just to be expected.
