I've been hearing the OST, and it has some straight-up horror film tracks in there. Fantastic stuff.
Check this one out.
But this was what Matt Reeves had planned from the start even before principle shooting begun. A detective focused noir thriller.Reviews mean nothing to me...I have been duped so many times by the hype machine...
What I find exciting however is the comments reporting that the movie feels like a thriller ala Zodiac. I have always hoped for Batman to be portrayed as the highly intelligent detective he is, conducting his vigilante business using his brains before his gadgets and physical prowess, and this adaptation might finally be it...
Plus, from the little snippets I have seen, Colin Farrell could very well get nominated for some prize for his performance as the Pinguin...

It's been all over Google for ages. Looks like you just found this out?
If you didn't love Black Panther you're a racistYes but that was due to politics. Look at the audience score.
And when WB heard his pitch they even delayed their plans for the movie to wait for Reeves to finish War for the Planet of the Apes just so he could make it.But this was what Matt Reeves had planned from the start even before principle shooting begun. A detective focused noir thriller.

The Snyder die-hards are very loud. They're still doing their thing - crying because it isn't Affleck. It amazed me to see people on twitter crappy all over the casting as if Pattinson has not done any work since Twilight that might have proven he can actually act and act well.
YES, well said. In my eyes Batman is, first and foremost before anything else, a detective. His original stories were published in... Detective Comics. It's literally in the nameI have always hoped for Batman to be portrayed as the highly intelligent detective he is, conducting his vigilante business using his brains before his gadgets and physical prowess, and this adaptation might finally be it...

This is just another situation like when Heath Ledger was cast as Joker and a bunch of ignorant people started trashing the idea, because they have no clue how movies or acting works and just want to see their favorite blue and grey Batman pajamas on the big screen.
Excited to watch this.
But never forget:

Thats why I never trust in crรญtics...Down to 86 percent now.
This is a Star Wars thing and we all know it. Their fan base essentially needs to like those films in order to stay sane.Excited to watch this.

I have no idea what you even mean by this. I'm an ex-Star Wars fan. Grew up with the original movies and was pretty obsessed with the "universe" as a kid. The new movies are bad. Not only how they tie in (and destroy the old stuff) but just ... as movies. This is a Star Wars thing and we all know it. Their fan base essentially needs to like those films in order to stay sane.
I liked him in Tenet personally. Can't blame the guy because girls like him in Twilight.I don't think it's about whether he's a good actor or not. It's about whether he was cast correctly.
Batman is a physically imposing, playboy millionaire, with an air of darkness to him. I think a lot of people can see Christian Bale and Ben Affleck in that role.
Pattinson is a skinny emo weirdo. He may be a good actor (I loved him in The King) but he's better cast as a Joker / Riddler character.

And if you didn't like Ghostbusters 2016, you're sexist.If you didn't love Black Panther you're a racist

You make some good points.Wow, surprisingly boring movie.
No, I did not expect a marvel esque, movie. Far from it.
I knew it was a Fincher-esque noir film with Batman, but by god does Fincher show how he is a master class at these kind of films with how he mastered pacing and execution of dialogues.
Way too much derivative talking in this film.
Batman is OP as fuck without ever explaining why his armor is impervious to any damage whatsoever.
Also, apparently his armor is light enough to carry in a backpack and apparently he can switch out of it into civilian clothes as fast as superman.
Also. He walks around like a tank, sounds like a tank, never hiding is arrival, but somehow halfway through the movie someone remembered Batman is known for being sneaky so they added two whole scenes where he disappears mid conversation.
Which makes no fucking sense because you KEEP ESTABLISHING hes walking around like a tank.
Alfred was the most useless character.
Story was basically ripped from the developers of Walking Dead game's take on The Batman in their game series.
Who the hell cares about Bruce Wayne if he's just a brooding moody emo boy 24/7?
What makes Bruce Wayne loved and known by Gothan is his fake persona, this one had none and still looked upon like a celebrity.
Whatever, it was a GREAT BATMAN movie in terms of atmosphere and mood and tone.
Story could have been cut down by 30 mins tbh.
Also, lol white incels bad. You heard it folks.
6/10
- The Dark Knight still did it better.
And if you didn't like Ghostbusters 2016, you're sexist.
What are some movies considered 8s, 9s and 10s in your opinion? I'm trying to get a feel for what you're into so I know what a 6 means to you and to me.6/10
- The Dark Knight still did it better.
Great but not as good as the films it aspires to.
Best version of Batman on screen though. Pattinson is given the coolest moments Batman has ever had in a movie and he shines in them.
I love long, atmospheric movies, but I would have trimmed this. Too long.
The movie was very good but also very slow. I need to see it again to fully digest it and form a stronger opinion. Especially because I was hyped up and expectations can do a number on you.
Did you see the justice league Snyder cut? That was nearly 4 hours I believe. This one dragged slightly towards the end of the 2nd act but it wasn't too bad overall length wise. Went by pretty fast imo for a 3 hour movie.Holy fuck, 3 hours!?
I'll probably watch this eventually but why are movies getting so long these days.
Always nice to have an excuse to post this.An eternal character with different interpretations. It'll be good regardless.
Definitely. 2nd act dips a little, and 3rd act isn't near as good as the first 2. Overall I'm really happy with it though. Already itching to see it again. The first act is so rad. I haven't been that immersed within a movie for quite a while.
Going on Saturday, bought into the hype for this one from the start and it looks like it'll pay off. I don't expect it to be better than The Dark Knight but I'm not a big Rises fan so we'll see where it lies next to that.
