Blindly jumped into this and I have no idea what is going on. Can I not go back to a previous basement? Can I even save? I need to read the OP immediately lol
That and no more literally useless items, if not only negative penelty items mislabeled.
Oh and Dingle is an asshole. Hardest basement 1 boss.

I have been playing on PC so far.
Started my PS4 to get the game there as well, but ... Is the game not released on PS4 yet? Or delayed European release?
The bullet hell second final boss was hard, btw. I guess that the decreased difficulty is to pull more people into the game, but
feels like punishment for those of us who are relying on luck.

Just ran into a bug. Walked into a new room and I had a loading screen. Just tried it again after restarting the game and it's fine.
Are there any actual loading screens in this game? Would seem weird. The game is only 500mb they can just load the entire game into the ram.
Not a huge fan of the game so far though.

Just beat
on my second try. Should have had it first try but did something stupid due to not knowing how things worked.
Really loving this game. I need to read up on it some, I just played it like a pure dual stick shooter and did fine, though I had no idea what certain things do (coins? just for the
?) and would benefit from reading up on a beginner's guide.
I got all sorts of things that I had no idea what they did.

Seems pretty fast to me. I'll try timing it later, but even the initial load time isn't that bad.
No BOOB TOOB filter, either. I was really excited for that. FART SNDS works and is amazing, so at least we got that.

room is absolutely crazy. Encountered it after killing mom's foot on a run with Azazel, poly + brimstone + anti grav shots managed to clear it
but it was intense. Unfortunately that run died the next floor due to a general lack of health items.

Did a couple runs; two awesome game references I ran into:
There's a leaf that gives you a Mario Tanooki tail, and if you do nothing for 2 seconds you become a stone statue which makes you invincible, just like in Mario Bros 3.
Also, I bombed what I think was just a random rock, and a door to the underground opened up. Instead of going to the next floor or something, it changed the screen into a small sidescrolling area ala gameboy Zeldas. Totally took me by surprise, forgot the item I got from it.

Been playing for a couple of hours. Slightly disappointed at one thing.

Eden seems like she'd be really fun to just play around with. Unfortunately, it seems as if you can only use her once for each "token" you collect. I get why they'd do that, but still a little bit of a bummer. Hopefully, there's eventually a way to unlock her permanently.
They are especially lame considering Devil rooms now give you black hearts, which are way better than I thought they would be.

Controller support is a god send. I could never play the original because the keyboard controls were murder on my hands. I just put 8 hours into the game and beat
. Downloading now on VITA.

JoyToKey is a lot easier to use than you think. It's useful for quite a few other games as well! Just sayin.

Alright, after...7 odd hours with this game, I'm going to be the awful outlier and say that I like the music, maybe more than the OG music.
I'll be honest in that I never found the original music astonishing or amazing. It was in the background and I never really had my attention caught or anything by it. Hell, after a long enough time I turned the music off and played my own while playing.
I'll probably eventually do the same with this music but I find absolutely nothing bad or wrong with it for now.
Anyways, still plugging away.
Edit: To further cement a mountain of hatred against me, I prefer keyboard controls hands down. It is WAY easier for me to control my shots. That could, of course, just be hours upon hours of OG Isaac talking.

Looks like Vita 1000's will have trouble playing this for long periods. I noticed the borders of the game are all black rather than stretching the image to the full screen of the vita (or just adding more room space to there) and the game is already dark as is.

Beat Mom on my first try. Maybe I just lucked out on items, but that was way too easy. Is normal mode easier than OG Binding of Isaac?
I'll have to play more, but while this OST doesn't even touch the original imo, I feel like the original soundtrack wouldn't feel right in this game.
The new art combined with the soundtrack gives a new atmosphere and tone to the game, and it would feel off if one of those were taken out or replaced. It's hard for me to imagine the older soundtrack playing in The Depths for example, which looks and feels way different to me.
Still, I think it would be cool if they patched in the original soundtrack or make it so there's a chance of floors playing music from the original. That would be neat.

So I played through two runs and thought...what in the hell are these people talking about saying it's easier? Have I gotten that bad? I got platinum god twice and here I am dying before the Caves end!

Been knocking off the rust a little after not playing the original for a while. Beat

So far it's lived up to the hype in all areas but I do have a couple complaints. I won't state them until I do some more testing though.

D-pad is problematic at high speed. Stick makes high speed not just viable, but valuable.
This is how I felt on the original. Analog stick and face buttons is the only way I can play.
What'd he do? Was watching Lethal currently.
Picked up some item that turned my shot into a giant circle that took up like 1/4th of normal sized rooms and lasted forever doing damage (could move it around with the tear controls), holy shit it was so OP. I flew through the dungeon and destroyed Satan with absolutely no trouble. Loving so many of the new items.

Same thing will happen here for extended plays. Won't affect the new Vita 2k's only the Oled models.
Alright, 5 hours and 5 runs is enough for the first day, for me. 4 wins and 1 death with 2 Satan kills is a good start. Favorite synergy so far would have to be quad shot with piercing and bouncing tears.
is awesome and so are attack spiders. I fucking love this game and it's definitely a worthy successor to one of my top five games ever.

beat Isaac at the Cathedral. I don't think I ever went to the catherdral in the original...maybe once. Anyhoo, twas a glorious run. I had my horsey, Monstro's Lung, Bob's Brain, Trinity Shield, etc...
