I know that feel, happened to me over Thanksgiving. Hopefully this is the worst of it and you will feel better in 24-48 hours at least I did. I had the flu.

The glockenspiel sounds way better in the end where it's just kinda peppering / punctuating existing notes and not having to carry the existing riff by itself. I'd say get rid of the glockenspiel and just use strings in that beginning repeating 4-note riff. I also think the timpani in the end needs to be lowered about three octaves and then use some other kind of ethnic percussion (I don't know what you have available, but I'd say a taiko drum or something to that effect) in such a high key.

I think the composition could also greatly benefit from more upbeat percussion, which I've noticed isn't too common in your tracks. Something like Impart is kind of what I have in mind.

What are you using for your synths, by the way? Just default FL Studio presets?

Finale, actually. I have access to FL Studio, but I don't know how to use it well. Plus it crashes often.

Percussion has always been my weakest area, yeah. I've never been good at poking at it until something happens like I do with other things.

I really appreciate the constructive criticism.

Amazon has been stepping up their shipping game by using every delivery method they can. I love those Sunday deliveries as well.

Percussion was mine for the longest time too, but listening to all of the crazy drumming that goes on in metal actually helped me warm up to writing percussion a lot. Once you start getting the hang of it and realizing it's just an unconventional, albeit versatile instrument like any other, there's plenty of fun stuff you can do with it. Two of the drum tracks I've done are here (drum solo at 0:18) and here (no solo, but drums throughout), and those two in addition to this song I didn't do all do pretty fun things with drumlines and treat them more as unique tools to egg on progression rather than just giving the track an underlying beat.
