They said the Hispanic/Latino Culture Thread has been banned before for reasons. I think this one has been shut down before once, too.
but eh, I've noticed mods on the OT side are a lot better than the Gaming ones, though there is some slight overlap. 90% of my bans (up to three or four now) have stemmed from the gaming side, it's hard being a minority over there with all the PS4 people. You can shit on topics a little bit more freely on the OT side since it's open to so many more topics which lets through a lot of stupid shit.
I've been playing Fallout 4 off and on since I got it from Redbox, but idk, not feeling it that much. Maybe it's one of those games I need to buy so I stop worrying about returning it, but I'm thinking games like this aren't my thing anymore since I got tired of Skyrim and haven't put nowhere near as much time into FO4 as I did FO3.
GTAV is still my most played game. So fucking good.

Fallout 4 bored me endless, and bothered me from the start. It's like Bethesda doesn't even care about the game enough to put some effort into its writing; bet they handed that shit to some 16 year old who played Skyrim for 600 hours and left it at that without a single edit.
I'm just glad you didn't pay for the full game at the end of the day.
New Vegas > FO3 > FO4.
I find it weird I can't customize my voice. That broke the immersion right from the start. So many games allow voice customization but my nigga has the same voice actor as the white haired, green eyed person somebody else just made. Bethesda's writing is weird for a company of that pedigree. I found myself skipping certain dialogues and stuff.
Same here, man. I may get it used just because I need a game to put some time into here and there, but I'm glad I didn't shell out for the collector's edition like I did for the previous games.
I'll have to check that out. I've been hearing some good things. Doesn't bother me. I played through FO/FO2 before 3 came out and loved them. I'm still playing this war of mine and her story, so I'll download it after.
I can use an exact example from my experience if it makes a bit more clear, but i'm talking about folks who feel entitled to the degree in which lodging criticism against the thing that they like, causes them to call you entitled. As if they own the thing and things should stay the way they are, and other people can't suggest things. As if your suggest is going to magically change anything. I can give you a very exact example, I don't wanna bother people more than I have to.
i feel like on that level the entitlement conversation would be a good conversation to have, because hitting that person with reality might make for more... meaningful discussion.

I'm putting off playing with my VR because I want to play Underrail. Game anxiety is real, folks. I was up to 5 am trying to find drill parts, I walk into some dark junkyard full of mutants and acid blob spitting dogs, I save scum, all but cheat, waste so much firepower throwing these expensive ass grenades I had to steal and kill to afford, and these fucking mutant animals just.wont.die. I'm surrounded by acid dogs, trapped in an acid blob that is eating away at my armor, and taken all my movement points. I'm like...fuck it, been trying to make it into this room for a half hour, dying and reloading, so I just drop a molotov cocktail at my feet..end the turn...BOOM. Dogs screaming everywhere, as I'm surrounded by 3 mutant dogs that are on fire, and panicking on one side, and 2 mutant dog corpses that just exploded and splashed more acid all over me. End turn...dogs are freaking out, running around, mutant is trying to get past the dogs, and has walked on the poison caltrops I threw into the room, now he's on fire too, but unaffected. So I'm covered in acid, surrounded by burning dogflesh, being stalked by a mutant...who dies just as he reaches my square, thanks to all those poison caltrops...
Finally I'm free of the acid blob and can move, all enemies are dead, hit the end combat button. Take one step forward...into an acid puddle taking damage, also had a poison caltrop on that square, 2 bio damage for 10 seconds, low health, try to go to menu and select a medkit in time...but inventory menu does not pause the game, die another horrible death, turn off computer, go to bed.

how come regular-ass dogs are fucking ninjas? that [tackle] special move fucks me up with criticals 100% of the time. I'm almost glad when it's a pack of dog rats or acid dogs, because hearing the normal dog bark in the distance makes my blood run cold. Stealth mode does nothing....cuz dags can smell ya.
But yeah this one will join New Vegas and Morrowind among the games I play multiple characters in, because the gameplay has that much breadth.
right? lol Tell us how you really feel George. You know disney is going to work that properly just like a slave. With no love or care involved in the creation other than cotton sales. Lucas, for all his faults, wanted to see Star Wars do well because he thought it was worth believing in. It might not have fit his internal vision, so he fucked with it too much when he should have just left it alone. (If it was a painting on a wall they wouldn't let him digitize Hayden Christensen.) But what he did came from a much different place than what Disney has in mind. It was his baby.
(that isn't to say he didn't sleep with the merchandise devil temptress either. I still have my burger king return of the jedi drinking glass. But Lucas had a connection. Disney has an invoice.)

So the backlash to TFA is finally beginning. I knew after seeing how much money it made that it was only a matter of time before it got the full Avatar treatment. I'm enjoying how some of it involves pretending that the PT had any redeeming qualities at all. For the record, I still haven't seen TFA. I just find it funny how predictable this whole thing was.

I didn't even know it was on PC. I still have my xbox version but I have no idea where my xbox is, so I'm gonna have to download this. I still need them to make a sequel (though I know that's never gonna happen at this point).

I know he on that diet racism tip. Fortunately nothing that really irritated me happened last night. It came close though when my friend mentioned that racism is in play when people say they don't date black girls or find them attractive and we gave points on how media perceptions can subconsciously play into attraction as we all know it does in self hate. He brought that up in the past and I mentioned
But there were some times when he said that genuinely pissed me off for a while and reminds me a lot of the stuff y'all be talking about that gets spewed here on gaf. If he does that shit again I think I'm going to have to break ties. I can't see myself calling someone a friend who thinks me and people like me fall into this coup and not to mention a couple other shit he said like last time he came to my house he didn't want to go in because he was afraid he might get in a fight with my mother who he never met and back when I was in school called my mother dumb because she didn't go to college and had my older brother young and then when I confronted him about it after I cooled off he pretended like he didn't remember ever saying it.
Aside from all that negativity, I am ecstatic as fuck that Final Fantasy IX, my favorite game of all time is getting PC and Smartphone ports.
The movies were never as bad as people suggested. I'm not going to sit here and tell you they're really good, but they're not bad enough in their own right to deserve the amount of vitriol that they do. They're victims of two annoying aspects of nerdom: A) a two point scale the jumps from horse shit to GOAT and B) an inability to review something on its own merits, succumbing to judging it in association with something else (ie. Matrix 2 is worst than The Matrix, therefore it's shit).
And I know it's frowned upon to say, but nerdom unequivocally suffers from a hive minded mentality. This is why you see Avatar like shifts in media impressions.
Watching that with the family.
I can't even imagine what other treachery is coming.
For those that like TV shows in the TWP or Treachery genres, this show may be the new king.

It's Final Fantasy syndrome: the one we like the least is the latest release.
I would just start with the Nu52
I never know how to answer this because Wonder Woman is a very creator driven character. Everyone gives their own flavor - even moreso than other charcters - so you might like one take and dislike another and such. But anyway, I usually recommend reading the first bit of one of these creators' runs then going from there if you like it:
George Perez - 1980's Post Crisis reboot. Set up most of the modern Wonder Woman stuff. Still holds up and is my personal favorite run.
Greg Rucka - Last run before the reset following Infinite Crisis. Generally regarded as the best among fans.
Gail Simone - Last major run before the New 52 (unless you count JMS). Pretty fun and it starts with one of my favorite WW stories.
Brian Azzarello - New 52 run. Your mileage will vary based on how attached you are to classic WW (though I imagine that's not a problem for you) and how willing you are to tough out a three year long story. Personally, I'm not as in love with it as most people, but I did enjoy it.
You could also check out my favorite stand alone stories, "The Hiketeia" and "A League of One."
