i think Sony gave them 75% of the money and didn't think they would half ass it b/c it's one of their greater known series and only checked in on the PS4 version tech wise

Ehhhh, depends on how big the title is, I guess. Assassins Creed: Unity was really screwy, same with Batman: Arkham Knight, and it's mostly because they rushed for the sake of money. Aside from those two, though, I didn't have much trouble. Not with Far Cry 4, and nothing too large with Dragon Age: Inquisition. Everything is money related, I'm convinced. They can easily just take the time to develop a fully operating product, but then how will they e a r n?

Releasing games who depend on online with a broken one is insane. MKX taking steps to better theirs an entire year later and now SFV. It is so empty that you don't even have random stuff to distract. Rushing the game out the gate before Capcom pro tour starts and filling in the rest later. Should have launched free and treated like KI.
