So in one of my classes we're doing a food project in three languages. Tell me why this one girl asks "What language do they speak in Africa?" Then she proceeds to repeat the question even when it is explained to her that Africa is a continent with different countries that have different languages. Then she asks "You're black, why do you not know?!" I really don't like that girl, at all.

haha yea me and my friends bailed out due to lobby and stuff missing. One guy I know raged and talked about selling his new fight stick on ebay lol.

Didn't watch the video (at work), but I'm sure whatever was said is almost considered normal in that environment. Part of the reason I'm in a party or mute everyone in public lobbies.

Yeah I'm the same way. I got burned out on Xbox Live years ago, being called nigger every game got old after a while.

Sometimes having a night to oneself and relaxing is a pretty sweet thing. Worst come to worst - call some friends over and get some multiplayer gaming in?

Xbox Live actually got a lot better. During the Halo 2 days and early to mid 360 days, I was probably called a nigger or faggot 20 times a day on Live. Nigger is a lot rarer on Live or PSN these days, but I still hear gay or faggot on the regular. Dota 2 is awful though.

I can't imagine being a female gamer online though. The shit I hear from people when they hear a female voice is disgusting. I wouldn't even bother with a mic if I were them, which is sad as fuck.

I don't even have a working phone right now and most of my friends are spread throughout the state. It's alright though.

So I was right - Chessboard Witch has little to nothing to do with your decreasing enthusiasm. It's a raindrop in the puddle of your discontent. Real talk though, character design has never been Star Ocean's forte. This newest game probably has some of the best designs in the series (and yes that include Chess Witch in all her dumbness). Pink girl's face is a bit unfortunate though.

It's so hard to get fighting games right that I think a lot of energy is spent trying to nail the basics to really expand much outward. Plus remember how hostile the FGC was to Smash until just recently? Any fighting game that wanders too far off the beaten path is going to get flack from the hardcore and that might hurt word of mouth if you don't already have a strong IP attached. I don't think that's an issue other genres have to worry about. I think there has been some positive press for Rising Thunder but I haven't gotten a chance to play that game myself.
