Nintendo don't care. I don't even blame it on the old guard in Japan either. I blame it more on the company truly being dogmatic about what gaming is and should be. That ideology seems to fuel every decision. Amibo, crazy gimmicks, limited release retro consoles. It's all about being a toy. That toy creator logic seems to be behind every decision the company makes. Toy makers don't always make the best business people

If they truly upped the orders for switch production, they'll have to make sure they hit those numbers or suffer sitting on stock that doesn't move. They just went through that with the Wii U. Limiting the # of ways you can access Nintendo games, forces the consumer to make the purchase the company wants. Overall, the investors want switch sales. They give no fucks about the nes mini
