Gimmick-based systems aren't really easy to develop for, even if it's just a port. On top of that do enough people have a Switch to warrant the effort? I know it's sold out but it was really limited in the amount of units that it shipped.

A bunch of Nintendo Switches being sold on Amazon for under $300 and I"m trying to discern whether or not they're a scam or if scalpers are realizing that the restocking is picking up speed and they're trying to recoup what they can.

I went to the well too many times. Got 1 of 4 left

Don't wanna be that guy but I'm surprised how many people are as surprised that the switch isn't getting third party support. I thought at this point.most people buying the system knew what's up.

Anyone thinking this was more than and indie Zelda machine played themselves.

I didn't know you were in game development too, I'm still way too inexperienced for me to have a credible opinion on it. What in particular is hard to develop for/ I was expecting third party support.

Lol why? Folks sure are quick to trip over themselves in the name of Nintendo. I got mine for Nintendo games and so far they're great. Historically not a thing told me I should buy this for 3rd parties games, let alone give me a reason to be upset 2-3 weeks after launch.

If you thought by week 3 games would be flowing heavy I don't know what to tell you. If 3rd party games show up on the system, awesome! But that wasn't what I got it for.

Oh I'm not in the industry, but game development is something I like to look at since I'm a computer science major. They had a course on it this quarter but it got filled before I could register :/. But finding a way to incorporate stuff like the Wiimote and Wii U gamepad into your game probably isn't as simple as something like a typical gamepad layout, which doesn't change substantially between different iterations. You'd probably be starting over fresh every single time with Nintendo.

Speaking of hide-and-seek is there a great online game that's based on childhood games? Sounds like something like that would make a lot of money with the children and I'd be down for it too. I used to fantasize about playing hide-and-seek in big places like the mall when I was little.
