After being stuck on the 1st episode of Season 1 for years, I'm finally on Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. It's damned good so far. Apparently the show turns to shit soon, but I'm going to finish what I started regardless of this sentiment!

Started watching it on Netflix, think I got to about season 3 and stopped. I just couldn't take it, to much bullshit and filler for me. I might eventually finish it. Check out Caprica if you can, it's the prequel. I really enjoyed it.
Yeah, I watched Caprica when it was airing. Sucks it got canceled. Flawed but incredibly interesting.

I personally found the beginning of season 3 to be amongst the most intense television I've ever seen. The time jump was a brilliant idea. (And I hear that BSG was the first major show to do that) And leaving our characters "occupied" really brought back the notion that they could actually lose every once and awhile (The show was beginning to become a little too convenient at that point...plans always worked, missions always succeeded, etc) It keeps it up for like 5 or 6 episodes before the seams start to split.
A lot of people point towards the "filler" episodes but to me that's not what ruined the show...it's the characterization that begins to fall apart. You'll see soon enough.
EJO is brilliant throughout. In fact, by the time all is said and done, he will likely be the only character that you don't lose respect for. ACTION STATIONS!

Guys like Latrell Sprewell, and Antoine Walker, weren't necessarily superstars, but they are examples of all-stars that have lost their money.
Mike Tyson had Lebron James type money and ended up going through bankruptcy (Everything from having money stolen from him, to lavish spending).
The 30 for 30 Broke episode is fantastic at really breaking it down. It mostly focuses on the NFL. The average salary is like 2 million a year. Remember that a large chunk of that is be taken out by taxes. Even guys that make significantly more than that have to understand that their careers are very short and they aren't just making money for now...they are making it for the rest of their lives.
Say you play 5 years, retire at 25, and you end up making 10 million (After taxes) in that time period. This is likely a lot more money than most guys are taking home during this time period, and most don't even play for 5 years. If you aren't smart, and don't know how to either stretch that money, or preferably, make more money off of it, for another 40 years, you're going to be in a world of trouble. Add in baby mamas, bad business decisions, taking care of family and friends, spending lavishly...
I think the best thing these guys could do would be 1) Freeze some sperm and get a vasectomy, 2) Cut yourself off from friends, and non-immediate family members, 3) Don't fucking get married until after you retire, 4) Just stop fucking buying stupid shit.

Just got back from Django, girlfriend was a bit shook up and shed a few tears at certain parts. I enjoyed it, thought all of the actors did a great job and would definitely put it in my top 5 movies of the year. The scene at the end with the house lady was my favorite. I started laughing so hard I got the whole theater going.

Most of the time he got their head fucked up, selling them pipe dreams, and then add the sex game to the mix and she is still young and dumb. Probably got her sprung on the tongue and she don't know what to do.
